Adrián Simancas, 24, was enjoying the stunning icy waters of Bahía El Águila with his father when very unexpectedly, a humpback whale decided to give him a taste of oceanic hospitality — by swallowing him whole! The heart-stopping moment was captured on video, showcasing a jaw-dropping encounter that reportedly lasted just a few seconds.

The whale made its grand entrance with seemingly no intention of hurting Simancas. Instead, it appeared to be just a misunderstood giant, mistaking the bright yellow kayak for a tasty morsel! The kayaker said, "I thought it had eaten me," as he shared his shocking experience of being enclosed in the mammal’s mouth. Amazingly, the adrenaline-pumping ordeal had a happy ending; the whale quickly spat him out, leaving Simancas shaken, but safe to tell the tale.
