Kevin Durant scored 35 points in leading Phoenix to a win over Thunder in his latest return to Oklahoma City.

I hope someday they can appreciate him and I know it's not everybody, but when you hear that, you're like, man, that's; I know it's the environment that we're in today but that was, I just feel for him cause I know these people. "I had so many great memories here, so many people that I met that changed my life," Durant said. He realizes Durant left OKC, but can't understand why a place that helped though one the toughest time of his life still has issues with Durant. I lived here I know what they mean to me and my family and I so I just feel for him because I know he has nothing but love for these people." It’s still emotions and it’s still some people don’t like that I left this franchise, but it was more love this time than it has been in the past. A lot of this stuff is new and we're doing a good job of figuring it out." The Suns (43-35) are now 6-0 with Durant in the lineup. Early on, I didn't get it, but I get that an NBA team is part of your community and players entrenched in your community. "We hadn't ran that play in a while and that's why I keep saying we're finding things," said Paul, who finished with 16 points and eight assists. He did a lot for this organization." I think this fan base is one that I've respected for a long time and I get it. "I understand it,” Durant said after the game.

… For them to do that today really speaks to this organization and this city." "Today would have been my wife’s birthday and they chose to honor my wife today by not allowing anybody to sit in her seats. "We’ve got a week left in the regular season, and if (we) bring the same level of focus, competitiveness, physicality, execution (and) game plan … Oklahoma City, which is battling for a spot in the NBA’s play-in tournament, lost for the third time in its last four games despite 39 points from Gilgeous-Alexander. That helped Phoenix hold the lead after Oklahoma City cut a 15-point deficit to three as the Suns improved to 6-0 with Durant in the lineup. Guys work their tails off to be ready for those shots and he and Booker are a case in point.

Rapid Recap: Suns win fifth straight, top Thunder, 128-118 (Bright Side of the Sun)

It was the Kevin Durant and Devin Booker show once again.

The chase-down block on SGA was an added exclamation point to what was another special night from Kevin Durant. The extra opportunities leading to points for OKC is ultimately what kept them in striking distance throughout. It simply did not matter because of number 35 on the Phoenix Suns. The teams were deadlocked at 27 after the first 12 minutes of action. The Phoenix Suns were able to secure a much-needed win on the road on Sunday evening at Paycom Arena. It was a true road test from a tough young squad that certainly rose to the occasion.
