On Saturday (March 26), Lady Gaga was seen in full Harley Quinn getup while filming scenes in the upcoming new musical Joker sequel.

In 2019, the franchise’s first movie became the most profitable comic book movie of all time. While Gaga hasn’t officially been announced to be playing Quinn, the spastic sidekick to the supervillain Joker in the Batman comics, it’s pretty clear that’s who she’s dressed as. She’s set to star in the new Tod Phillip superhero film, Joker: Folie à Deux.

While it has yet to be officially confirmed that Gaga is playing Harley Quinn, the scarlet jacket and diamond-print blouse certainly would suggest that, not to mention the romantic messaging among the protesters and the clown makeup on Gaga's face. Among the crowd are a smattering of colorful wigs and clown masks, of course. It's too early to throw the proverbial towel for superhero flicks, but the genre is starting to show a little wear and tear when it comes to audience interest.

Aside from being the prominent District Attorney of Gotham City, Dent is known best as his alter ego, Two-Face, who last appeared in Christopher Nolan's iconic 2008 film, The Dark Knight.
