Suriname vs Mexico live score, updates, highlights from ... (Sporting News)

Mexico begin a new era as Diego Cocca launches his tenure as head coach when El Tri take on Suriname in CONCACAF Nations League play.

They win the ball in midfield and counter, and a sensational vertical through ball unlocks the Mexico defense down the left. 55 mins to kick: The Mexico lineup is in, and for the most part, it's as expected with the skeleton squad that made the trip to Suriname. Suriname continue to cause Mexico problems down the left flank, but Johan Vasquez but an exceptional tackle in on Florian Jozefzoon on the left edge of the penalty area. He was late, and his studs ended up near the head of a Mexico player. Roberto Alvarado goes over the top of the Suriname defense but Joey Roggeveen is there to snatch it away off the head of Uriel Antuna. On his right foot, he delivers a curler that beats the goalkeeper but beats the post! Mexico were stunned in the first half by the attacking impetus and structure of Suriname. The best attacking move for Mexico of the match nearly results in a goal, but Erick Sanchez puts his header over the bar! He's in ACRES of space at the far post as Suriname counter, with Mexico completely scattered, but he swings a wild hack with his left foot and sends the ball into orbit! A similar look, building down the right and delivering a chipped cross, and this time it's Vasquez to rise higher than the Suriname defender. Yet Mexico are the ones to head home with three points, and on the road in CONCACAF play, that is the most important part. An opening goal from Johan Vasquez and and own-goal down the stretch were enough to put Mexico through to the top of their CONCACAF Nations League group, but it wasn’t exactly pretty.

Why Nearshoring Is Closer Than Ever: How Mexico Is Becoming ... (Forbes)

Nowports is the first and largest 100% digital freight forwarder in Latin America, with a presence in 8 countries. It moves goods efficiently, transparently ...

Digitization and predictability in operations is a one-way journey in the way the logistics sector works. AI tools can make up for the lost time in the region in terms of process optimization. As ports and international logistics companies catch their breath, now’s the time to invest heavily in tech to improve the infrastructure that largely crumbled at the height of the pandemic. Mexico is becoming the hottest market in the region, in terms of production, skilled professionals, and advanced facilities. To improve visibility and empower logistics teams, a deep redesign of the processes involved must be undertaken. Ports and logistics need to catch up on digitization, automation, and geolocation if they want to future-proof their operations. In order for companies to thrive a data-driven approach is needed to improve their predictive capabilities. While Latam maintains 15% of this trade, in Europe this amounts to 60% and in North America to 45%. [Prosper Insights & Analytics](https://prosperanalytics.info/) survey, the disruption and shortages in the supply chain can take up to 6-12 months to normalize. This involves how the nearshoring will overhaul the private sector in México and its impact on the US market. It’s clear that the re-orientation of global supply chains is unstoppable. This phenomenon has been dubbed "nearshoring", the inverse of offshoring.

Mexico defeats Suriname to give Diego Cocca a win in debut (ESPN)

It wasn't the best start to a game for Mexico, but the positive news is that Diego Cocca and his players were able to win over a resolute Suriname.

We understood the coach, it was the first time with him, but we felt that we had a good second half. [Guillermo Ochoa](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/137038/Guillermo-Ochoa), who has been a long-time stalwart in net for Mexico. [Roberto Alvarado](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/194308/Roberto-Alvarado) was far too quiet, and in support, the midfield didn't really step up until the second half. By the 64th minute, Cocca's squad then scored off a free-kick from [Carlos Rodriguez](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/239990/Carlos-Rodríguez) that Vasquez was able to slightly deflect into the back of the net. Didn't have the confidence needed to be a starter for Mexico. Mexico coach Diego Cocca on the result, to TUDN: "Today within the game, it improved. 9, the 21-year-old should be given credit for helping setup the goal that would lead to a 2-0 lead, it remained disappointing to see him miss his penalty and have a lackluster presence in the 18-yard box. Bisewar nearly scored on a couple of occasions as well. Despite the win by two goals, it was Acevedo that was able to keep Mexico alive in the game. Were it not for Acevedo, El Tri could have potentially earned a disastrous result on Wednesday. Although Mexico had a couple of dangerous chances of their own, they were static throughout the first half and lucky to enter the locker room at halftime without allowing a goal. El Tri struggled with containing a Suriname side that kept Mexican goalkeeper

Mexico took to the field this evening to the sound of 'Cielito Lindo', a traditional Mexican folk song. They proved themselves to be a well-organised side in their recent draw against Jamaica and can call on one of the Bundesliga's most in-form forwards to pose a real threat. There have been decent chances for both sides in the opening 25 minutes but it's been a slightly scrappy game so far. His run in behind the Mexico backline gives him a sight at goal but his left-footed shot is saved comfortably. Mexico loft the resulting free kick into the box but it is safety gathered by the Suriname goalkeeper. Santiago Gimenez shows some neat touches to hold up the ball and force a save from Roggeveen. Gimenez wins the header in the box but his attempt on goal is tame. The cross is slightly overhit but finds Jozefzoon in acres of space at the back post but his wild left-footed shot flies over the bar. The Feyenoord striker thrashes the ball well over the crossbar, much to the relief of the home support. The Mexican defender opened his account for the national team with his second half finish and it looks like a crucial first goal. Mexico have gone close to doubling the lead, most notably with a missed penalty, but the margin remains a single goal. But for all their possession it was a set piece that secured the first goal of the Rocca era, with defender Johan Vasquez bundling home a dangerous free kick.
