India vs Australia Live Score 3rd ODI: Indian batters should cash in on lively Chennai pitch in the series decider. Catch the live score and updates of IND ...

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of India vs Australia 3rd ODI from Chennai! ‘SKY’, as he's known, was trapped in front of the wickets by the left-arm pacer, and there are speculations over his place in the XI ahead of the final ODI. But who makes the way for him? The last time an ODI was played at the Chepauk Stadium was back in 2018 which India lost against West Indies. The series decider between India and Australia has been marred by inclement weather. Until 2008, Australia had the edge over India, but the Men In Blue turned a corner under MS Dhoni giving the Aussies a run for their money. The last time India lost an ODI series at home, it was in 2019… Mohammed Shami is hit for a SIX by Travis Head in the next over. Axar Patel is introduced in the attack and he starts off with a tight over. Mitchell Marsh too hits the spinner for a boundary as 11 runs come off the over. Saved a boundary on that instance, and had produced a similar effort earlier in the innings. Catch the live score and updates of IND vs AUS, 3rd ODI

Warner, playing at an unfamiliar No. What looked like a good toss to win for Australia after Mitchell Marsh (47 off 47 balls) and Travis Head (33 off 31 balls) put on 68 for the opening stand didn’t seem so as Pandya bowled three different deliveries in his first three overs to completely seize the momentum in favour of the hosts. While Pandya (3/44 in 8 overs) shaved off the top half, Kuldeep’s (3/56 in 10 overs) rhythm and guile on a helpful Chennai track was the biggest takeaway as the latter’s delivery to remove Alex Carey was the ball of the series.

After a 42-run stand between Sean Abbott and Ashton Agar, the Australians, in an attempt to get quick runs, have lost back-to-back wickets of both Abbott and Agar. The Australians have been all-out for 269 at the end of 49 overs, meaning that they were unable to play the full 50 overs. The first few overs are being played cautiously by the Indian players. They have reached 65/0 in just the first nine overs while chasing 270 for victory. The Australian tour of India which started way back in February is finally coming to an end on 22nd March with the final ODI being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Rohit Sharma has found the fielder now.

Pandya also removed Mitch Marsh as he was moving towards a much-deserved half-century. Australia had a dominant start as openers Mitch Marsh and Travis Head took charge of the Indian bowling attack. And straight away he’s seeing it like a watermelon, stepping inside the line to a straight ball and flicking it over midwicket for FOUR. And he goes again very next delivery as Siraj puts it in the corridor outside off and Marsh whips it high over the infield for another big FOUR. The power of Marsh is on show on the next delivery as he blocks Siraj to mid on but strikes it so sweetly it flies along the carpet to the rope for another FOUR. He is coming over the wicket to the right-hander and there’s some nip in this pitch as Marsh is beaten on the inside line. Marsh dabs a single from the first and Head has a big swing at the next… But he showed that first delivery no respect whatsoever, stepping down and scorching it down the ground for a maximum. The next ball is a bouncer and Marsh swats at it as it flies over his right shoulder but he lost sight of it late and missed it. That wasn’t a bad ball from Siraj but Head made it look pedestrian stepping back and leaning into it to swipe it over cover for FOUR. This time Hardik Pandya sends it through a trifle faster and it catches the top edge and flies to Kuldeep Yadav for a simple catch. 14th over: Australia 80-2 (Marsh 43, Warner 3) Ravi Jadeja is into the attack and the Australian batters take three single from his first three deliveries. He and Warner are happy to rotate the strike for three singles from the over. 15th over: Australia 88-3 (Warner 6, Labuschagne 1) David Warner takes a single from the first Hardik ball after the break.

IND vs AUS, 3rd ODI: Clinical Australia hand India a rare home series defeat (Times of India)

NEW DELHI: Australia spinners Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar led the way after a resilient batting performance as the visitors stunned Rohit Sharma and co. in the series deciding third and final one-dayer in Chennai to register a rare series win in India.

It was three games in a row that the Indian top-order flattered to deceive and that too in home conditions. Next over, Starc fired from wide off crease but the length ball was hit for a straight six. Spinners Zampa and Agar shared six wickets to choke the hosts in the chase. Since that series defeat four years back, India have won seven back-to-back bilateral ODI rubber at home. The score-line back then was 3-2. and co.

IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: Kohli half-century in vain, Zampa spins ... (Sportstar)

Australia beat India by 21 runs to win the three-match ODI series 2-1 and give India its first home-series defeat in four years.

Aussie skipper Smith was caught behind for a duck in Pandya’s next over and Mitchell was clean bowled for a run-a-ball 47, again off the same bowler. With no boundaries coming between overs 14.2 and 20.2, Marnus Labuschagne and Warner, batting at 4 for the first time in ODIs, fell victim to the sudden rush of blood against Kuldeep, who saved his best for Alex Carey. Both openers dismissed the full balls from Siraj and Shami and, save a few plays and misses, were equally aggressive when it was dropped short; using the best batting conditions on a wicket that was getting slower and more difficult for stroke-making as the match progressed. Thirty-six years later, Geoff’s younger son, Mitchell, looked set to follow in his father’s footsteps when he racked up 23 from 15 with four fours and a six. The new ball pair of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj bore the brunt, especially Siraj. Jadeja’s dismissal off Zampa was the final nail in the coffin. Maybe, the dismissal was still playing on his mind when, after reaching his 50 off 61 balls with a single, Kohli looked more disgruntled at being turned down by Hardik Pandya for the second run than relieved at his 65th ODI fifty. The move paid off when Zampa, in his third over, trapped Gill lbw with a full ball. When Starc erred too full in search of swing, Shubman Gill flicked him over midwicket, and Rohit Sharma lofted him over mid-off to knock off a dozen from the target. But when Rahul looked like he was determined to accelerate, he mishit a Zampa googly and holed out. For the host, it was the final ODI until the tour of the West Indies in August. Virat Kohli walked in at 3 while Smith summoned Adam Zampa (4 for 45) in the eighth over, hoping to lure the Indians into making a mistake.
