Campbell is coming off a career year with Indy in 2022.

New York also pulled off a trade this week that landed them star tight end [Darren Waller](/nfl/players/1850793/darren-waller/), who'll certainly factor into the target share for Jones in Brian Daboll's offense in 2023. [NFL Media](https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo/status/1636421354873389056?s=20) adds that Campbell gets a $1.5 million signing bonus and his $1.4 million base salary is fully guaranteed. [New York Giants](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/NYG/new-york-giants/) secured [Daniel Jones](/nfl/players/2179245/daniel-jones/) with a multiyear contract extension and have since scoured the [NFL](/nfl/) for pass-catching talent to put around him. Injuries have been a big story for the 25-year-old thus far and only played a total of 15 games through his first three seasons. At his best, he's a hyper-athletic wide receiver who has elite speed that should be able to create separation. The same figures account for reception thresholds of 55, 65, and 75.

Giants sign WR Parris Campbell; 5 things to know (Giants.com)

Originally a second-round draft pick by Indianapolis in 2019, Campbell is coming off his most productive season yet.

He was also a star on the track and powered SVSM to the 2013 Ohio State outdoor track and field championship by anchoring victorious 4×100 and 4×200-meter relays and taking second in the 100. He was telling me about the facility, about the people here, just how family-oriented it felt and just for the opportunity itself. In his final collegiate season, Campbell set the Ohio State record at the time with 90 receptions and became only the fifth Buckeye to top 1,000 receiving yards in a season with 1,063. His game against Michigan as a senior included the sixth-most receiving yards in school history – 192 – and the second-best yards per reception average at 32.0. "It definitely was not as exciting as it was for the Giants fans at that time," the former Colt said of last season's matchup when the Giants clinched a playoff spot. It was the second-longest of his career (he had a 51-yard touchdown against Houston in 2021). In that same game, Colts linebacker Bobby Okereke also made a favorable impression at MetLife Stadium on New Year's Day, when he had a career-high 17 tackles, including 13 solo and two for loss, plus a forced fumble, in the Colts' 38-10 loss to the Giants (who clinched a playoff berth). "Obviously, he was here yesterday, and he was kind of telling me about his day and all that stuff. Speaking specifically on that day, I was on the sideline just watching Daniel [Jones] run up and down the sideline going crazy. In 2022, he caught 63 passes for 623 yards and three touchdowns in addition to carrying the ball five times for 58 yards (long of 28 yards). Like I said, was able to play all 17 last year, so I was extremely blessed." Then just speaking in terms of last year, being able to play a full 17 (games), that's all I ever wanted to do.
