Senator John Fetterman is still in the hospital for depression, a mental illness that impacts half the country, including its political leaders.

"I was the author of the biggest mental health bill, and I didn't want to go to a psychiatric hospital. "We've made a lot of progress," Wild said to USA TODAY. I break the cycle and honor my dad." I tried to hide it as much as I could," said Kennedy, the youngest child of the late Sen. Kennedy finished his eighth term in Congress and did not run for reelection in 2010, a year after his father died. "The color started seeping back into my life, a little more each day." Well, we’ve heard this before from him last May and we know it wasn’t true last May when he talked about it in the context of that stroke, either. He’s been a supporter of drug use for a long time. They can’t afford to lose a seat like this when they’re going to be voting on big legislation, judicial confirmations. Yes, that’s maybe a far-out conspiracy theory, but if you don’t show some video of the man or have him make a statement at least, attributed to him. Right before the PA primary in May, he suffered a stroke, but still got the Democrat nomination. He ran for the Democrat nomination for US Senate seat in PA in 2022.

Wouldn't a functional society elevate people to positions of leadership who are the wisest, the smartest, the sanest, who have the greatest degree of foresight and emotional self-control? But the most obvious one is a logistical question: How is John Fetterman doing this if he's in the psych ward? Fetterman got to Washington in January and within a month suffered a mental breakdown so severe that he wound up in the psych ward where he remains tonight. He was so close to the edge that within weeks of getting to Washington, he wound up in a mental hospital as an inpatient. They would not allow John Fetterman to write railroad safety legislation from his bed in the psych ward. Apparently, Fetterman cracked under the strain of a Senate campaign in which he was forced to pretend that the brain damage he had suffered from a stroke wasn't actually a big deal. But no, nobody in the party cares because representative democracy means nothing to Democratic leaders, and they don't mind if you know, they feel that way. But even by those low standards, it has been a little bracing to watch the short political career of John Fetterman unfold. In a party where no debate is allowed, it's not like you need a senator who can use words or for that matter, a president who can think. Now, it's not a typo, they put that in a press release. In other words, electing a guy who can't possibly represent you is not an offense against democracy, it's the essence of democracy. [ Tony DeLuca got re-elected](https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pennsylvania-state-representative-reelected-despite-being-dead) to the Pennsylvania statehouse while dead.

John Fetterman's Health Is Becoming a Major Headache for Joe Biden (Newsweek)

Vice President Kamala Harris has had to use her tie-breaking vote this week because of Democratic absences in the Senate.

However, in the end, politics always comes down to the numbers." The filibuster means that in order to end debate on most matters, 60 votes are required. So if Fetterman can recover, ensuring his seat for six years seems far more important than any political sacrifices required now," he added. Resignation is now talked about in more than whispers," Shanahan told Newsweek. "That's important, but it's not the only factor at work here." "The longer his absence goes on, the more likely Republicans are to bring votes to the floor on issues where a GOP victory will embarrass the president. In that sense, it matters," he said. "Most majority leaders will experience some period in which members are unavoidably absent," he said. criminal code is just one issue and doubtless Republican strategists will be trawling bill proposals and draft legislation in committee to find more headline-grabbers," he said.
