Last April, Colombian pop star Karol G teased the arrival of her fourth studio album with the delicately layered “Provenza,” one of the most gorgeous and ...
Karol’s incursion into música Mexicana is a distracting detour, and her much-anticipated track with Colombian icon Shakira, “TQG,” feels underwhelming, especially since it arrives only weeks after the media circus that surrounded Shakira’s massive new track with Bizarrap. On the sumptuous “Cairo” — complete with a video shot at the pyramids of Egypt — he keeps the metallic yet velvet-like rhythm moving inexorably forward, leading to a bombastic outro of sheer EDM delight. The same lush feeling informed her 2019 megahit “Tusa,” a collaboration with Nicki Minaj that furthered Latin pop’s mainstream appeal, and it’s at the emotional center of the sprawling Mañana Será Bonito, her strongest effort to date.
Karol G has released her new album "Mañana Será Bonito," which includes features with Shakira, Quevedo, Sech and more.

Colombia's best tunesmith mixes reggaeton with pasillo and other beats on a sensual, melancholy album.
The sensual sway of Pero Tú is particularly good, her high register sweetly paired with the commanding baritone of Spanish singer Quevedo. The lyrics are generally of boozy lust and thwarted longing, but as exhibited on last year’s subtle, persuasive, utterly exquisite megasmash Provenza (included here), Karol’s skill is in evocative melodies that transcend any language barrier. Best of all is Gatúbela, an entry into reggaeton’s horndog subgenre perreo, where Karol swaps her usual beseeching tone for confident come-ons.
In this new album, the artist shows all her talent as a performer and writer, as well as her skills as co-producer for “TUS GAFITAS,” “GUCCI LOS PAÑOS” and “ ...

"People have a dream and want to reach the goal fast, but you have to live the process," she says. But she confessed that for her, the music was her way of closing this cycle." "From what I went through with my breakup to what she went through. I told her that when I went through my heartbreak, I wanted to get away from the public eye. While "TQG" has already drummed up a lot of excitement, the album itself can't be confined to one genre. That's why the album is called that way and that everything was going to be alright." "Then I realised that my music was changing, and I had to repeat to myself all the time: 'Mañana serà bonito' ['tomorrow will be beautiful']. "Not when I thought I was going to leave my career when I came to New York, but when I went back to work. And while she was grateful for it all, the singer also feared she wasn't going to be able to put out music that would top the success of "Tusa." It was also the year she released "KG0516," an album that included megahits "Tusa" in collaboration with Nicki Minaj, and "Bichota," a feminist theme song whose title refers to a word Karol G coined to mean "a strong woman leader." She attended the conference, and that's when she realised that she does have what it takes to be a successful music artist. Because I knew this was going to happen."

I want to drink!” When we made the song, it gave me a vibe of going to the Dominican Republic to dance to this song. I feel like I need to take a pause. To study the choreography with her, to learn it with her, and have that closeness with her because of this song. I like the music of the Dominican Republic a lot. I had that song “Kármika.” I don’t know why the song sounded good to me to think that he would be great on it. I had a very dark moment in my life where the only thing I could do was turn to my family and my friends. I was like, “I want to party! Talking literally about all of the sadness that I had while trying to be strong in front of the world because I didn’t want people to see that vulnerable side of myself. It was born in the moment when I told myself, “This is what I want to do and I don’t care.” But I’ve withstood a lot of blows and things like that, and that’s what really made me the woman with girl power that I am today. That #GirlPower was the sign that I put for myself to be like, “Hey, you’re going to need this to be somebody in this industry because it’s going to be hard.” But now is when I really realize what girl power is, and it became the “Bichota” power. With everything that’s happening, I want to enjoy the present with my music and remember that tomorrow everything will be great. It makes me happy that they feel happy with my music and that they feel represented in a way with what I do.

Karol announced the new album in January with a heartfelt message that said, “Today I announce a project that I’ve dedicated so much love and time to. But one of the most notable collaborations is “TQG” alongside Shakira. In “Gucci Los Paños,” where Edgar Barrera is one of the songwriters, she experiments with Regional Mexican packed with heavy tuba melodies and slow-tempo requintos.
Despite featuring “TQG,” her vaunted post-breakup collaboration with Shakira, do not for a second think that Karol G's new album is born out of scorn or ...
I wrote “Tus Gafitas” on a plane, on my way to Cairo to film the video of “Cairo!” And when I landed I said, “I have the song.” I called him, I sang it to him — I told him I wanted a rock vibe, because I wanted a special sound for that track. When at the end of the day, they should be teaching that it’s amazing that you’re you — because everyone needs to meet different people to continue to grow and evolve and learn. I called Shakira, in October of last year — I said, “Hey, I know you’re going through this, and I’m sorry to be so direct.” [But] when she heard the song, she said, “I love it!” Then she explained she had this song coming with Bizarrap and I said, “OMG what are we going to do?” The fact that I allowed myself to flow naturally and that people connected shows me the world is eager to see peoples’ true personalities. And we were trying to figure out what we were going to do, because I had said “yes” to Becky, and now we had two songs — but the topic was the same [heartbreak diss tracks]. I told him, when I do that, I want it to be with a song that has special meaning, something big, something beautiful. I would love for people to simply listen to this song, as a song. I’ve always said they and I have a very close relationship, even if we don’t know each personally, and with my music and my personality I make them feel a certain way, and they do the same. And I’m not speaking only about love; in a way, I was in a dark personal moment. If I do a show, I want to know how people felt, for example, and it’s not a bad thing to sometimes get feedback that doesn’t sit well with us. But definitely, I spent many years working toward a moment where I could demonstrate, where I could elevate – so to speak— the female genre, and represent us in a strong, powerful way. Instead, Mañana Será Bonito (out today on Universal Music Latino), which literally translates to “Tomorrow Will Be Pretty,” is a snapshot of Karol G’s moment today — a moment she describes as “authentic and genuine, now more than ever.”
From Shakira to Quevedo, here are all of Karol G's "Mañana Será Bonito" collaborations ranked.
On the heels of “MAMIII” (Becky G, Karol G) and “BZRP Music Session, Vol. The set also includes previously released collaborations with [Romeo Santos](https://www.billboard.com/artist/romeo-santos/) (“X Si Volvemos), [Ovy on the Drums](https://www.billboard.com/artist/ovy-on-the-drums/) (“Cairo”) and [Maldy](https://www.billboard.com/artist/maldy/) (“Gatubela”). In “X Si Volvemos,” which follows “Mientras,” Karol G’s La Bichota alter ego takes over and she’s as blunt as ever in the sultry track. [“Gatúbela”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK37InR9j38) — released in August — marked a new chapter for Karol G. [“Kármika”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbRwWlOtlSw) finds the Colombian artist joined by two generations of artists and of two different cultures: Sean Paul of Jamaica and Bad Gyal of Spain. The long-awaited collab finds the two Colombianas in a sultry music video, confirming once more that there’s no messing with them (and their hearts). [“Ojos Ferrari”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05707XPzb0c) is a certified club banger, where the three sing about living it up. On her new album’s penultimate track, Karol G continues to explore her provocative wanderlust, and “Cairo” sets the stage for a too-hot-to-handle escapade in the desert capital. On the track, the two artists deliver a feel-good track filled with positive lyrics and manifestations, again, to heal a heartbreak. The set earned the biggest week for a [Latin](https://www.billboard.com/t/latin/) album by a woman since Shakira‘s 2017 El Dorado. This time, Karol is armed with a hypnotic coo like that of a siren, which captures Quevedo as a love interest. In fact, the rest of the tracks on the album are quite the opposite — packed with fast-paced verses, raw and sensual lyrics with dembow, regional Mexican and reggaetón powering the beats.
