After about four hours of comments piling up on social media on Sunday, the building tweeted shortly after 10 p.m. The less said about it, the better. The video was accompanied by defiant if somewhat cryptic message: “We’ll see you at the Big Game.” An Eagles win is a Giants loss, even if they’re not playing. Many were in no mood to see it.

But as New Yorkers know, the building’s colors change frequently to commemorate all kinds of occasions. With all the faux-humorous corporate and government tweets flying around, the whole thing has felt like a very 2023 mini-news cycle.
