Violent weekend in Philadelphia leaves 4 dead โ€“ Metro Philadelphia (Metro Philadelphia)

Four people were killed in violence over the weekend across Philadelphia, and at least 12 others are recovering after being shot.

Earlier, at 6:30 p.m., someone shot a 42-year-old man in the back of the head on the 1100 block of W. A 28-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot at around 8:30 p.m. Investigators said the shooting occurred on the 5600 block of Litchfield Street in Kingsessing. In Hunting Park, a 20-year-old man was shot in the hip area at around 4:30 a.m. Huntingdon Street in North Philadelphia, according to authorities. Hernandez, of Feltonville, died after being shot in the head at around 6:30 a.m. Mascher Street, the teenager pulled out a gun and opened the door of a car with two men inside, police said. No arrests were made, though detectives found a gun at the scene. He is expected to survive the shooting. Police have declined to name the victim, pending family notification. Clearfield Street in Kensington, police said. He was hospitalized in stable condition.
