The Warriors (24-24) will host the Toronto Raptors (22-27) at 10 p.m. Curry, who is averaging 29.3 points per game this season, was first ejected for a mouthpiece throw in Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals. The Grizzlies (31-17) will face the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-25) at 7:30 p.m. Bane made a free throw to cut the deficit to two points before Curry was ejected on the Warriors' next possession. The Warriors outscored the Grizzlies 32-24 down the stretch to seal the victory. Morant went on to make two free throws with 26.6 seconds remaining to give the Warriors a one-point edge. Star guard Ja Moran then scored 11 in the second to help the Grizzlies take a 54-53 lead at halftime. Bane chipped in 20 points for the Grizzlies. The Warriors trailed by as many as 10 points. Curry was immediately ejected for the infraction. Guard [Donte DiVincenzo](https://www.upi.com/topic/Donte-DiVincenzo/) then grabbed an offensive rebound to extend the possession. Curry scored a game-high 34 points, including 21 in the second half, before his departure.

The ejection vs. the Grizzlies was just the third of Curry's career.

Poole shared his annoyance with the decision to eject Curry after the game. Fortunately for the Warriors, Curry's absence didn't cost them the game. The ejection was the third of Curry's career, and the other two were memorable for similar reasons. The officials immediately ejected him from the game. With Curry calling for the ball, Poole threw up a quick 3-pointer. [Klay Thompson](/nba/players/1647559/klay-thompson/) missed a mid-range jumper that would've doubled the Warriors' lead.

The second would be a closed-door sit-down with Poole, reminding him that his franchise operates with a team-first culture, and their winning championship record is the path Poole needs to find again. The two-time MVP greeted Poole with a smile and praise for his winning shot, only to have the budding star blow past him when Curry attempted to explain the reason for his frustration and his ejection. The 23-year-old made a game-winning layup to give his team the win, but had also caused superstar teammate Stephen Curry to be ejected shortly beforehand.

Warriors observations: Steph Curry fuels gritty win over Grizzlies (NBC Sports Bay Area)

In another intense matchup between the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State came out on top with a 122-120 win Wednesday at Chase Center.

Not this season, and not in the past. The Warriors totaled 14 turnovers in the first half, their most in any half at home this season, and they turned into 22 points for the Grizzlies. Klay gave the Warriors eight points and two 3-pointers in the fourth. Overall, the Warriors with 22 turnovers and the Grizzlies turned them into 29 points. At the 8:15 mark in the second quarter, the Warriors already had 10 turnovers and the Grizzlies had scored 15 points off them. Poole wound up scoring 13 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, including the game-winner. His fellow Splash Brother (Klay Thompson) and Splash Nephew (Jordan Poole) came alive in the fourth as well. Teams have to sag off Kuminga when he has the ball or when he's off the ball in the corner. Curry was on fire in the fourth quarter, making all three of his shots. The Grizzlies challenged Kuminga's corner 3-point shot in the second quarrter, and he took advantage of the opening. The three of them put the Warriors on their backs when it mattered most, hoping to spark a much-needed win streak. Steph Curry scored 21 of his game-high 34 points in the second half.

Golden State Warriors' youngsters sent to G League for much ... (Blue Man Hoop)

Golden State Warriors' Moses Moody will look to gain some much needed reps, and build some confidence, in an important G League experience ahead.

Moody’s raw numbers have actually been okay — he’s averaging 5.2 points on 45.2% shooting from the floor and 36.7% from three in 14.8 minutes per game this season. It’s ultimately left no choice for management who must be somewhat disappointed in the stalled development of their 14th selection from the 2021 draft. After playing small but genuine minutes against the Dallas Mavericks in last year’s Western Conference Finals, there was optimism that Moody could develop into a 20 minute per game player for the Warriors this season.

Not to mention, sitting on the bench and not actually playing in games does not help Moses Moody’s development in any way, which is why getting him extra practice time in Santa Cruz could be highly beneficial. Be on the lookout for a new episodes every Friday. The Warriors will be looking to move a game above .500 on the season when they take on the the Toronto Raptors in their next game on Friday, a rematch of the 2019 NBA Finals. Utilizing the NBA G League and their affiliates, the Santa Cruz Warriors has always played a big role in the Warriors developing the younger guys on their roster and on Thursday, they made yet another roster move this season to get more practice time and reps for some of their players. While he definitely possesses skill that they like on the offensive-end of the floor as another perimeter shooting threat, the Warriors would like Moody to get stronger on the defensive-side of the floor. There is a lot of time left for the Warriors to get back to being the championship-like team we are used to seeing and continuing to find ways to get their young talents experience will be key.

Warriors make decision to get Moses Moody more playing time (ClutchPoints)

The Golden State Warriors have assigned seldom-used second-year wing Moses Moody to the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors.

It’s much too early to say Golden State erred by taking Moody with the No. He began the season behind fellow 2021 lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga is Golden State’s pecking order off the bench, subsequently failing to make a positive lasting impression on Kerr and the coaching staff even as Golden State reworked its bench lineups in hopes of overcoming rough early-season struggles. He’s still just 20, not even two calendar years removed from his freshman season with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Moody played 14 minutes off the bench in the short-handed Warriors’ stunning road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, less court time than every player in Steve Kerr’s nine-man rotation but Baldwin. Moses Moody is finally primed to get the playing time many anticipated entering 2022-23. [surefire reserve contributor](https://clutchpoints.com/warriors-biggest-training-camp-battle-to-watch-before-2022-23-nba-season) before the season, Moody has struggled to carve out his niche with the defending champions.

But I chose to develop in the NBA and that's what comes with it. The goal is for Moody to lock-in on becoming the 3-and-D player the Warriors envision out of him. Kerr and the rest of the Warriors have raved about Moody's mental fortitude since Day 1. Aside from game reps, Kerr is excited for Moody's move to Santa Cruz because of the individual attention each player gets in the G League. This is why Santa Cruz exists for the development of our young players and potential future players and it's a great tool. Santa Cruz plays Friday and Sunday night against the South Bay Lakers in El Segundo at the UCLA Health Training Center.

Warriors assign Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins to the G League (Golden State of Mind)

The Golden State Warriors made a roster move on Thursday morning, after their thrilling win over the Memphis Grizzlies the night prior. And it's a move they've already made a few times this season, as they assigned rookies Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan ...

With the Warriors not finding too much garbage time these days, and the second-round pick having had some other stints in Santa Cruz, Rollins has appeared in just one of the last 15 games. Baldwin has flashed a lot of promise during his NBA stints, while Rollins is a bit further off, but still viewed very highly by the Warriors. Second-year lottery picks aren’t normally sent to the G League, but Moody seems stuck in Steve Kerr’s dog house. Steve Kerr channeled his inner Jim Mora in answering a question about the Warriors' seeding heading into a possible playoff appearance.
