The Eagles were 7-2 at home this season and are 6-4 in the playoffs at the Linc since it opened in 2003. The Eagles are in the playoffs for the second straight year under his leadership, after starting 8-0 and 13-1 before Hurts’ injury. The Giants’ season is an unquestioned success, even if it were to end on a blowout loss. The Eagles ranked No. The Eagles have more dynamic returners. The Eagles are susceptible to big kickoff returns (26.1) if Gary Brightwell gets a shot. If edge Azeez Ojulari (quad) is out or limited, the Giants’ best bet is to get a pass rush up the middle with Dexter Lawrence (7.5 sacks) and force Hurts into the dangerous throws he is prone to in the red zone. 5 in rushing (147.6 yards per game), but a lot of that success is dependent on Hurts (760 yards and 13 touchdowns). The Giants ranked No. But the Eagles boast one of the NFL’s best veteran cornerback duos with Darius Slay and James Bradberry, cut by the Giants in May. In his five-year career, Scott has 414 of his 1,209 rushing yards, 222 of his 514 receiving yards and 10 of 17 touchdowns against the Giants, as three different defensive coordinators have let the diminutive scat-back punch above his weight class. How much is because the Colts stink and the Vikings (faced twice) leave receivers wide open in soft zone coverage?

NY Giants have lost twice to the Eagles this season. Can they stop their nine-game losing streak in Philadelphia with a playoff upset Saturday night?
"These guys keep me going, and we've got a great opportunity Saturday night." This season has given him a taste of what a future in coaching might be. Instead of playing wide receiver and catching passes from Daniel Jones, Shepard will spend game day Saturday night on the sideline inside Lincoln Financial Field against the Eagles. "I didn't want to fade away because I've seen how isolating and lonely it can be, being part of a team that in your heart you know is yours, but rehabbing [a serious] injury takes that from you," Shepard told NorthJersey.com, part of the USA TODAY Network, earlier this season. For Shepard, for much of his time here, this home has been where the heartache has been. “He’s an energy-giver," Daboll said of Shepard on Thursday.
The Giants Wire staff offer their picks and predictions ahead of a divisional playoff game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.
But watching the Giants on the field, and the coaching staff on the sidelines, the desire to win and the excitement around this program is palpable. Not to mention, there may be a few Giants fans in attendance for the trip to Lincoln Financial Field. This should be a hard-fought battle, but the Eagles come away with a win. I would love nothing more than to see this magical season from the New York Football Giants to continue on Saturday. The Giants have the momentum and they are healthier than they’ve been in a while. This won’t be like the 48-22 game earlier this season but the Eagles still should have enough to eke out a victory.

Eagles will be broadcast nationally in the United States on Fox. However, he wasn't listed on the latest injury report, which is great news for Eagles fans. Nick Sirianni's squad was able to rest up last week thanks to earning a first-round bye as the conference's No. Star running back Saquon Barkley also stood out, racking up 109 total yards and two touchdowns of his own. However, the Giants rested many of their starters in that game, including quarterback Daniel Jones. A full-strength Giants squad will be a much tougher test for the home team this time around. It makes for what should be a fiery and entertaining affair in front of a raucous crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

The content on this page is for informational purposes only. Even more important is that history is on their side as teams in their exact position cover more often than not. Jones is 18-7 ATS on the road, which is ninth-best among all quarterbacks dating back to 2003. Meanwhile, New York ranks seventh in rush DVOA – though a good amount lower than Philly (4.9%) – and fourth in On the other hand, New York turned the ball over the second-fewest times in the NFL (16). Well, over the past 20 years, two teams averaging over 130 yards per game on the ground have squared off in the postseason on four occasions. New York covered the spread at a historic rate as an underdog this year, going 11-2. They’re 38-58 over the entire postseason, and 18-27 in the Divisional Round. Finally, it’s tough as nails to beat a team three times in one season, which is what Philadelphia aims to do.
When the New York Giants lost wide receiver Sterling Shepard for the year due to a torn ACL back in Week 3, they lost a big talent on the field.
An inside look at Sunday's Giants-Eagles NFC divisional round matchup in Philadelphia:
The Eagles are the only team to have four players with 10-plus sacks in the same season: Haason Reddick (16.0), Brandon Graham (11.0), Javon Hargrave (11.0) and Josh Sweat (11.0). “So, of course, teams are going to scheme against him as being one of the best quarterbacks in the league. The Eagles can impose their will and take over a game with their defense. Bradberry, this season, had the third-lowest passer rating allowed in the NFL (55.9) with a minimum of 50 targets. There are many ways the Eagles can dominate, on offense and defense. “He had a great year and he’s a great player,’’ Kelce said.

The Eagles gained the top seed in the NFC with a 14-3 record and earned a bye in the Super Wild Card round. The 9-7-1 Giants snared the sixth seed and the Washington Commanders ended just outside the playoff bubble with an 8-8-1 record. All four teams finished .500 or better and three qualified for the postseason. As we have stated ad nauseum all week, the Giants are 8-2 in games where McKinney starts. They ended the season, however, by losing two of their final three games with their only victory coming in Week 18 struggle over a Giants’ team playing predominantly backups. Gainwell is the primary sleeper to watch on the Eagles roster. That is the performance to reference for Saturday since the Giants rested their key players in Week 18 with the No. Brown and DeVonta Smith are the easy targets to pick out for Hurts to use in the passing game. Brown and Smith each caught a touchdown pass in Week 14. Hurts had three total touchdowns against the Giants in Week 14. Dallas Goedert is the other safe play for a lineup stack at tight end. Gainwell is utilized in red-zone and third-down situations. Jones torched Minnesota with his legs, as he produced 78 rushing yards on 17 carries. New York rested its starters in Week 18. Bellinger is the only other option to consider in a Giants stack, and he would be selected to save some salary to use on players to fill out the lineup. Jalen Hurts is a touchdown machine, and he has one more week of rest under him to deal with the shoulder injury he suffered in Week 15. Bellinger caught a touchdown pass from Daniel Jones last week in Minnesota, and he brought in three catches on three targets in Week 14 against the Eagles.
My Giants vs. Eagles betting prediction looks at a Week 18 rematch between division rivals. The Giants are the last team the Eagles faced due to their ...
The Giants are projected to have an SBPR of just over 0.7. Eagles prediction projects the Eagles to score 27 points. Prior to the bye week, the Giants were one of the most consistent defenses in SBPR, with a bounce rate under x1.9. If the Eagles are on point, this could be a challenge. Consider this — in the 11 games since the bye week, the Eagles have an SBR of 1.1 or more in six of those games and an SBR of 0.8 in eight of them. At a bounce rate of x3.2, they remain one of the more inconsistent defenses in the postseason. However, that is only the second time in 18 games they have hit that mark, and they did it against one of the lesser defenses in the playoffs. The Giants’ defense is tasked with stopping all of that. The Giants are the last team the Eagles faced due to their first-round bye. The Eagles’ defense is a different animal. The Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings in one of the more exciting games of the weekend, as predicted in my Wild Card piece on them. To score 28 points at their current projected scoring behavior rate (SBR), they would need to hold the ball for at least 37 minutes.

It's now 28-7 Philadelphia with 6:15 left in the third quarter. The Eagles pull their starters with less than three minutes to play. The Giants fail to convert on fourth down and turn the ball over with 2:51 left. The Giants have major decisions ahead this offseason. The Giants wildly exceeded expectations this season. They are one win away from the Super Bowl.— Bo Wulf (@Bo_Wulf) Philadelphia's 75 total sacks this season (and counting) are the third most in NFL single-season history, including the playoffs. On defense the Eagles sacked Daniel Jones five times, hit him six times and pressured him on more than 31% of his dropbacks. Meanwhile, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was hit just one time despite the Giants blitzing on more than 42% of his dropbacks. 1 offseason priority will be to find a way to close the gap with their divisional rival. The Eagles are hosting the Giants in the divisional round on Saturday night. Here are our predictions. By Dave Zangaro.
The Eagles are a superior team. The only thing I worry about is Jones' legs beating the Eagles over and over. The Eagles are one of the best rushing teams in the NFL, particularly when Jalen Hurts is healthy and allowed to play his full game. Dallas Goedert only saw action against the Giants once, in a hamstrung version of the Eagles' offense, and caught six passes for 46 yards. I expect Goedert to be heavily involved on Saturday in a number of different ways - and good luck putting the clamps on Goedert when your secondary is fighting for its life against A.J. The Giants have won four games since the start of November. And when the Eagles are on defense, the Giants just don’t have enough firepower. Yes, Daniel Jones looked great a week ago, but Minnesota’s defense is one of the worst in the league. The national and New York media seem desperate for any semblance of success from either of the teams in East Rutherford, but pump the brakes on the 2007 Giants Super Bowl comparisons. We’ve seen a couple different versions of that Giants defense this season but I have confidence the Eagles will be able to dissect either. If the Giants want to be aggressive and blitz Jalen Hurts, then Hurts will beat them with 1-on-1 mismatches with A.J. We just saw the Giants play their best game of the year, on the road, against a 13-win Vikings team.
