The Eagles are hosting the Giants in the divisional round on Saturday night. Here are our predictions. By Dave Zangaro.

The Eagles are a superior team. The only thing I worry about is Jones' legs beating the Eagles over and over. The Eagles are one of the best rushing teams in the NFL, particularly when Jalen Hurts is healthy and allowed to play his full game. Dallas Goedert only saw action against the Giants once, in a hamstrung version of the Eagles' offense, and caught six passes for 46 yards. I expect Goedert to be heavily involved on Saturday in a number of different ways - and good luck putting the clamps on Goedert when your secondary is fighting for its life against A.J. The Giants have won four games since the start of November. And when the Eagles are on defense, the Giants just don’t have enough firepower. Yes, Daniel Jones looked great a week ago, but Minnesota’s defense is one of the worst in the league. The national and New York media seem desperate for any semblance of success from either of the teams in East Rutherford, but pump the brakes on the 2007 Giants Super Bowl comparisons. We’ve seen a couple different versions of that Giants defense this season but I have confidence the Eagles will be able to dissect either. If the Giants want to be aggressive and blitz Jalen Hurts, then Hurts will beat them with 1-on-1 mismatches with A.J. We just saw the Giants play their best game of the year, on the road, against a 13-win Vikings team.

The Eagles are 2-0 against the Giants this season, but the Giants will have several key defensive players back in the lineup for their third meeting.

[Adoree' Jackson](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3120347/adoree-jackson), safety [Xavier McKinney](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4241470/xavier-mckinney) and defensive lineman [Leonard Williams](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2971622/leonard-williams) will all be on the field this time around. It should help the Giants not allow the Eagles to run wild. They’ve been on the field together for just 56 defensive snaps this season (4.9%), including playoffs. The Giants have allowed 19.0 points per game in their three contests since, but it’s the way the defense looks that signifies it’s becoming a much better group. The Eagles also have a dangerous tight end in It was part of our counterpunch there at the end with putting [McKinney in the box].” These kinds of moves weren’t available to Martindale in the first matchup with the Eagles. Their playoff hopes were hanging by a thread following an embarrassing 48-22 loss to the [Philadelphia Eagles](/nfl/team/_/name/phi/philadelphia-eagles) at MetLife Stadium in Week 14. “I think we provide a lot of flexibility. They’ll get a third crack at the Eagles (8:15 p.m. ET, FOX) in the divisional round of the playoffs. It’s really how bad do you really, really want it.”

Kickoff for Eagles-Giants is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. on Fox. Jaguars-Chiefs will air at 4:30 p.m. on NBC.

The Eagles are the NFC’s No. Eastern on NBC, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth on the call. He should sound very familiar to Eagles fans, since he called three of the Birds final five games this season, including their blowout win against the Giants in Week 14. Alongside Davis in the booth will be veteran broadcaster Daryl Johnston.

But I still think the Eagles can move the ball against the Giants’ secondary, and when the Giants have linebackers on the field, the Eagles can exploit a mismatch. There are questions about how effective [Jalen Hurts](https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/jalen-hurts-yhzPJprUoEnfzPvf/) and [Lane Johnson](https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/lane-johnson-0c4JytpwYgeSDkcO/) will be, though. Hockenson](https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/tj-hockenson-Yp7BNMxs6Jyl4I97/) had 10 catches for 129 yards. And sticking to that side of the ball, what matchups stand out to you as opportunities for the Eagles?
