'Mandalorian' Season 3 trailer jumps the shark in one epic way (Inverse)

A new trailer for 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 just gave us our best look yet at the next chapter in the adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda.

Apparently, The Mandalorian Season 3 will take us to what looks like a cantina where the guests are all droids. For the first time since Season 1, it looks like Din Djarin’s original Mandalorian family will unite once again in battle. Now, it looks like we could get a whole lot more, and while that’s exciting, I can’t help but worry it could diminish what makes the show so great by focusing on the Jedi once again. Now, a new trailer just gave us our best look yet at the next chapter in the adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda (aka, Din Djarin and Grogu). Based on this image, it looks like Djarin threw away his helmet, only to retrieve it when the time was right. The Kim’s Convenience star returns once again as the New Republic equivalent of galactic highway patrol.

Mando and Grogu are ready for another adventure. Disney+ has released the official trailer for Season 3 of "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian."

Pascal returns as the galaxy’s notorious bounty hunter, with Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and Katee Sackhoff also reprising their “Mandalorian” roles for the third season. The two were heading to planet Mandalore to restore Din Djarin’s honor. Baby Yoda, journeying across a galaxy far, far away, facing threats from Mandalorian home planet Mandalore and the bustling urban planet Coruscant.

New 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Trailer Reveals Din Djarin Is ... (Collider.com)

A new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 reveals Din and Grogu preparing for a fight, and a whole host of new Mandalorians.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Season 3 will also see the return of Din's former allies including Nevarro's magistrate Greef Karga (Carl Weathers). While Season 1 established the world of the story, and Season 2 tied it in to the larger Star Wars galaxy by bringing in characters like Bo-Katan, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill/Max Llyod-Jones), it seems like Season 3 will hopefully be a marriage of the two ideas.

The New Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Is Chock Full of Mandalorians (Gizmodo)

It feels like’s getting increasingly self-referential—or at least all the dude wants to do is tell stories about Mandalore. Here’s the one thing that bugs me: How much of this Mandalore lore is going to make sense to people who haven’t watched the entirety of Dave Filoni’s other work? Tucked in with a lot of familiar faces, it really seems like those are Jedi?

He was exiled from his fanatical cult for removing his helmet, something we learned was not practiced by the wider Mandalorian population when Mando meets Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) but it seems he has a long road ahead of him to uncover the truth. Speaking of which, check out [my top picks for 2022](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CYTucnFRx8) below: The Star Wars Western about a Beskar steel-armored bounty hunter and his young ward returns for the first time since 2020, though Mando showed up in The Book Of Boba Fett last year as well. “You also have to know how to navigate the galaxy. “Our people are scattered like stars in the galaxy,” Mando narrates during the trailer. The new trailer—above— features Pedro Pascal’s Mando (aka Din Djarin) and Baby Yoda, along with a bunch of other familiar faces from a galaxy far, far away.

'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Trailer: Watch Mando & Grogu Reteam (IndieWire)

It's been almost a year since we last saw Mando and Grogu in The Book of Boba Fett. "The Mandalorian" Season 3 trailer stokes excitement.

(Remarkably, “The Mandalorian” is the live-action continuation of storylines from the animated “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels in its focus on this weapon.) Mando won the Darksaber in combat from Imperial baddie Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). But note: we said it was the last time we saw them on “The Mandalorian.” Whosoever has earned the right to wield the Darksaber has the right to rule the planet Mandalore. On “The Book of Boba Fett,” Mando got a new ship, a converted chrome Naboo starfighter (like those seen in 1999’s “The Phantom Menace”). It was an extremely moving moment, one of the defining moments of the entire Disney Star Wars era.
