New 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Trailer Reveals Din Djarin Is ... (Collider.com)

A new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 reveals Din and Grogu preparing for a fight, and a whole host of new Mandalorians.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Season 3 will also see the return of Din's former allies including Nevarro's magistrate Greef Karga (Carl Weathers). While Season 1 established the world of the story, and Season 2 tied it in to the larger Star Wars galaxy by bringing in characters like Bo-Katan, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill/Max Llyod-Jones), it seems like Season 3 will hopefully be a marriage of the two ideas.

'Mandalorian' Season 3 trailer jumps the shark in one epic way (Inverse)

A new trailer for 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 just gave us our best look yet at the next chapter in the adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda.

Apparently, The Mandalorian Season 3 will take us to what looks like a cantina where the guests are all droids. For the first time since Season 1, it looks like Din Djarin’s original Mandalorian family will unite once again in battle. Now, it looks like we could get a whole lot more, and while that’s exciting, I can’t help but worry it could diminish what makes the show so great by focusing on the Jedi once again. Now, a new trailer just gave us our best look yet at the next chapter in the adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda (aka, Din Djarin and Grogu). Based on this image, it looks like Djarin threw away his helmet, only to retrieve it when the time was right. The Kim’s Convenience star returns once again as the New Republic equivalent of galactic highway patrol.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Has a Book of Boba Fett Problem (Den of Geek)

After a long wait, The Mandalorian finally returns to Disney+. But viewers who missed The Book of Boba Fett might be a bit confused.

Fans of the franchise just aren’t used to experiencing this universe onscreen with same level of interconnectedness the MCU regularly relishes. The approach has been particularly successful for the franchise’s television shows on Disney+, as people tune into [WandaVision](https://www.denofgeek.com/wandavision) and [The Falcon and the Winter Soldier](https://www.denofgeek.com/the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier/) for its larger universe stakes. And there’s a season they might have skipped The Book of Boba Fett in the first place. So, for frustrated Mandalorian fans, the question will remain whether this major plot point should have been Boba Fett‘s story to tell at all. So when the finale of The Mandalorian season 2 ended with [Luke Skywalker taking Grogu away](https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/star-wars-the-book-of-boba-fett-luke-skywalker-grogu-jedi/) to train him in the Force, fans wondered how season 3 would bring the beloved duo back together again. Some Mando fans have been left feeling like they were robbed of a major dramatic beat that should have rightfully happened on the main show. While the spinoff certainly has its defenders, many decried the show’s slow pacing and focus on tangential characters that don’t have the same fan appeal. Of course, all of this might be much ado about nothing. For those who skipped that series, seeing Din and Grogu together again after The Mandalorian season 2 cliffhanger has been a disorienting experience. Unlike with the MCU, Star Wars properties don’t normally cross over so directly as to resolve one show’s cliffhanger in a completely different series or movie. Viewers regularly catch up on the first Unsurprisingly, the internet is not happy.

'The Mandalorian' Season 3: Why Are Mando And Baby Yoda ... (Forbes)

Din Djarin and Grogu are back together for season 3 of 'The Mandalorian,' a plot point that occurred during another 'Star Wars' spin-off.

As we can see from the trailer for The Mandalorian season 3, Grogu chose to return to his armored father figure. Hence, Din decides to reunite with Grogu, clearly regretting his choice to give him up; he even has a piece of Mandalorian armor for the little guy. For some reason, the set-up for Din and Grogu’s inevitable reunion was randomly inserted into another Disney+ Star Wars series, The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian: Din Djarin's Armor and Weapons, Explained (MovieWeb)

The series follows Din and his newfound companion Grogu as they struggle to evade capture from the remnants of the Empire as well as independent bounty hunters.

In the first episode of The Mandalorian, we get a glimpse of the versatility of this weapon as he uses the shock emitter to get rid of an attacking Ravinak. While the Darksaber is technically not Din's personal weapon, he is the current wielder of it. This weapon is so dangerous it has been banned by both the Empire and the New Republic. It's unclear what will happen to the Darksaber in the future, but for now, it is in the capable hands of Din Djarin. Din's jetpack is given to him by his fellow Mandalorians, and while he struggles to use it at first, it has become a staple piece of his gear. One sick weapon that has been severely neglected until now is the flamethrower hidden within the Mandalorian vambrace. While Din is already a fierce warrior, the addition of such strong armor makes him a force to be reckoned with as he can withstand 10 times more than he could before. While a vibroblade may sound like an exotic sci-fi weapon, it is essentially the Star Wars equivalent of a bowie knife. The Darksaber is the subject of many myths and legends. Din Djarin's iconic full suit of armor does not get made until after he brings The Child in to claim his bounty of beskar steel, a treasure worth more than any other currency to the Mandalorians. From his new set of armor to his rare weapons like whistling birds, Din Djarin's weapons are his lifeline. Between his whistling birds and his deadly rifle, there is a lot to be said about Mando's weapons and armor.

Everything We Spotted in The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer (Gizmodo)

The latest season of the hit Star Wars Disney+ series with Pedro Pascal returns March 1.

The Mandalorian season three premiers on March 1 and leading up to it, Disney and Lucasfilm [just released a brand new trailer](https://gizmodo.com/mandalorian-season-3-trailer-baby-yoda-grogu-1849994230)—a trailer that, to be fair, is about half filled with footage we already saw [in the superior teaser trailer](https://gizmodo.com/the-mandalorian-star-wars-season-3-trailer-1849521276). Familiar planets, ships, droids, and the continuing story of a would-be Mandalorian named Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) taking a young child named Grogu under his wing to show him the Way. Nevertheless, there are some cool new additions and teases.

Excited for 'The Mandalorian' Season 3? Hope You Watched 'The ... (GQ Magazine)

If you're wondering how Mando and Baby Yoda reunited, another 'Star Wars' series has the answers.

Grogu also showed up in two of those episodes, and the first season of Boba Fett ends with him choosing between joining the Jedi and reuniting with the Mandalorian. Mando appeared in three episodes of the Book of Boba Fett, a spin-off series, centered around the beloved bounty hunter from the OG Star Wars films, that failed to earn the critical praise and cultural foothold of its predecessor. The trailer puts Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian front and center with Grogu, the breakout character—better known as Baby Yoda—who has become an object of cultural fascination since the show’s 2019 premiere.
