"Fluid body with ample mass for the position. He mirrors pass-catchers before and after contact but excels after landing his hands and slowing receivers down." "The Maryland native boasts a thick, long frame and notable lower and upper body strength. "Stellar length for the position, long arms, and rangy frame. "A rare blend of size, athleticism, toughness and pure natural talent, Mayer is the definition of a prototype at the tight end position. Wilson has an explosive first step and long strides to beat tackles around their outside shoulders or make plays as a backside run defender." "Athletic linebacker who can come downhill in a hurry and limit rushing yardage. At the line of scrimmage, Johnston uses his explosiveness, jab steps, hesitations, and hand usage to release." "He has very flexible hips, knees, and ankles that aid his change of direction. "An immediate impact player as a freshman, the Georgia native demonstrates quick, first step-explosion, along with great strength and versatility. Here is the first round mock draft of the week with players that could be selected with the first 32 picks. "He is one of the most twitchy and fastest pass-rushers that we’ve seen come off the edge in quite some time.

The Dallas Cowboys bring in even more offensive firepower and the Carolina Panthers reach for a quarterback in our latest 2023 NFL Mock Draft.

However, they also need help on defense after trading away Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, and Roquan Smith in the same year. He’s not lacking in athleticism either as Carter can get past linemen with his explosive first step and quickness. 1 overall, the Chicago Bears add Jalen Carter, a massive defensive tackle who can play on multiple fronts.

2023 NFL Mock Draft: Five QBs go in first round, including Colts ... (Pro Football Focus)

The first 18 picks of the 2023 NFL Draft are set, with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans set to kick things off barring any trades.

[Travis Kelce](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/travis-kelce/7844) is going to be 34 years old next season. Simpson has elite range that would pair nicely next to [Matt Milano](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/matt-milano/11918). He could be the chain-mover that quarterback [Aaron Rodgers](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/aaron-rodgers/2241) needs. [Kirk Cousins](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/kirk-cousins/7102) for only one more season, and the Vikings' roster is too good to where they won’t be getting the pick of the litter in a draft anytime soon. Stroud, Ohio State](https://www.pff.com/draft/big-board?season=2023) [one of the best offensive lines in the NFL](https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-offensive-line-rankings-week-18-2022), and it could be intact for quite a while. [Tremaine Edmunds](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/tremaine-edmunds/50905) set to become a free agent this offseason, the Bills may opt for new blood at linebacker. [Christian Watson](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/christian-watson/66581) and [Romeo Doubs](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/romeo-doubs/84329) as their one-two punch after how strongly they came on down the stretch this season. They may not be as happy with the middling production they got from pending free agent [Robert Tonyan](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/robert-tonyan/12193) at tight end, though. [Taylor Lewan](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/taylor-lewan/8646) will be back in a Titans uniform next season. [Chicago Bears](https://www.pff.com/nfl/teams/chicago-bears/6) are sitting on a golden ticket. Johnson could rejoin former college linemate [Nicholas Petit-Frere](https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/nicholas-petit-frere/82003) as the bookend tackles for Tennessee next season.

NFL Mock Draft 2023: Trade-tempted Bears take Will Anderson Jr ... (Sporting News)

The NFL playoffs are kicking off. The College Football Playoff is ending. That transitional period is an ideal time to clock in with a new 2023 mock draft.

Wilson is explosive and versatile for his size, capable of playing multiple impact positions along a front seven. The Lions could use a rangy bookend for 2022 No. The Steelers need a long-term rock in front of Kenny Pickett's blind side and Skoronksi can deliver with his smooth quickness and athleticism on the edge. Bresee offers good technique and nimble feet as a run-stopper and also can boost the inside pass rush. Mayer is a matchup-nightmare creating receiver at his position and can fit in nicely with fellow big-play youngsters Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs at wideout. 1 wideout for the sake of Mac Jones with Jakobi Meyers and others heading into free agency and DeVante Parker not being reliable with his health ahead of his Age-30 season. The Titans can get Johnson to pair nicely with fellow former Buckeye Nicholas Petit-Frere as the near future bookends. The Eagles stash for their future with their first of two picks in the round, knowing Darius Slay just turned 32 and James Bradberry is going into his age-30 season. The Falcons must invest in revving up their 3-4 pass rush and Foskey can fit the bill with his powerful, explosive and technically sound game. They can land Stroud, a smart pocket passer with the right accuracy and intangibles to thrive as their true delayed franchise replacement for Andrew Luck. The Cardinals have an easy pick to make here with J.J. Without including any potential trades, here are Sporting News' projections for how the selections will play out from No.

2023 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Justin Jefferson and Christian ... (Pro Football Network)

The 2022 season may be over, but it's always fun to look ahead. Let's take a look at the first few rounds of a way-too-early 2023 fantasy football mock ...

The man is still in the process of fully regaining confidence in his knee. Brown also ascended to the ranks of the elite in 2022. I’m not saying Henry will fall off a cliff in 2023, but I am saying he will fall off a cliff within the next 1-3 years. We are going to see three quarterbacks off the board within the first 30 picks in the vast majority of 2023 drafts. Who will be the Raiders’ quarterback in 2023? The man is a machine. By 2007, he was done, and he retired after the 2008 season. Jonathan Taylor averaged 13.3 ppg as one of the biggest first-overall pick busts in fantasy history. As long as Stafford and Kupp are healthy, Kupp remains the best wide receiver in fantasy. I’m a little weary of Cooper Kupp entering the 2023 season. All he did was average 21.4 ppg, just 0.5 ppg off the best season of his career. He finished as the overall WR2, which is exactly where he should go next season.

2023 NFL Mock Draft: Colts Trade Up With Bears, Panthers Climb ... (NFL Mocks)

The first post-regular season mock draft is here! A major trade occurs between the Colts and Bears, Will Levis joins the Panthers, and more!

Future Hall of Famer, JJ Watt, is on the way out the door; what better way to replace a generational pass rusher with another generational pass rusher? Chicago adds arguably the best player in the 2023 NFL Draft, plus extra draft capital for the future. In this scenario, the Indianapolis Colts leap to the top of the draft board. Stroud feels like more of a Chris Ballard pick, given his ties to the Big Ten and a tendency to draft players from that conference. Now that we know the strong points of this NFL Draft class, it is time to dive into the first mock draft of the offseason for 18 franchises. Chicago brings back a haul to surround quarterback Justin Fields with talent going forward, and the Colts guarantee their quarterback of choice in the 2023 NFL Draft. With the Chicago Bears securing the rights to the No. With over half of the 2023 NFL Draft order locked, mock draft season is ready to ramp back up. And that is only the tip of the iceberg. A major trade — or two — shake up the early portion of the 2023 NFL Draft. (Alabama) and Myles Murphy (Clemson) lead the way for the pass-rushing group. Several day-one starting running backs are in the 2023 NFL Draft,

2023 NFL mock draft: New top-5 order leads to huge QB-related trade (Touchdown Wire)

The 2023 NFL draft got a major shake-up in Week 18. In Doug Farrar's latest mock draft, that has one team trading heavy for a franchise QB.

Here, the Lions give up the sixth overall pick (which they got from the Los Angeles Rams along with Goff in the Matthew Stafford trade), and their own 18th pick, along with their 2024 first-round pick, for the privilege of moving up to first overall and taking Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. Stroud to the Texans with the second overall pick, and given what Stroud showed in the College Football Playoff semi-final against Georgia, that’s a pretty good second place. The Chicago Bears went from second to first after losing to the Minnesota Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals went from fourth to third after losing to the San Francisco 49ers, the Colts moved from fifth to fourth after that Texans loss, and the Seattle Seahawks moved from third to fifth by dint of the Denver Broncos (who traded that pick and others for Russell Wilson) beating the Los Angeles Chargers. Not only do they have the first overall pick with which to transact, they also have an utterly insane amount of cap space once the 2023 league year kicks over in March. That leaves the Seahawks — who may decide to roll with Geno Smith on a new contract, select a developmental quarterback later in the draft, and focus on their defense up top. Now, the Bears will be the kings of the offseason.

[NFL Draft](https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-draft) are set. [Texas Tech](https://www.vivathematadors.com): The Falcons defense has been rough for a while now. Richardson is an extremely talented quarterback who just needs patience and some good coaching, which are exactly what the Lions have. They certainly have something in Christian Watson, but could also use a consistent target line Smith-Njigba in the middle of the field. Skoronski can come in and start at guard immediately (note that Isaac Seumalo is a free agent) and eventually take over at right tackle for Lane Johnson. Quentin Johnston has the size and speed to thrive as an NFL receiver and could quickly become a favorite target for Mac Jones. Jordan Addison is a do-it-all talent at wide receiver who can thrive on the outside or in the slot. [Cleveland Browns](https://www.dawgsbynature.com/)) (Not including trades.) Michael Mayer is a blue chip tight end who could make the life of whoever their quarterback is easier. Will Levis, Quarterback, Kentucky: Will Levis has all the physical tools you want from a franchise quarterback- Big arm, great size, tough and athletic. Stroud showed against Georgia the kind of player he can be at his best, and that is a franchise quarterback.

2023 NFL mock draft: Bijan Robinson makes sense for the Buffalo Bills (Buffalo Rumblings)

Some will be upset with the selection this week (or any, for that matter). But these are all thought exercises to consider with over three months to go until ...

Of course, the drawback here is investing in a position that has been rightfully devalued in the NFL in recent years. Receivers and linemen being taken increases the likelihood that this is a possibility. He’s special in every sense of the word. In my opinion, he is the most talented back to enter the NFL since Saquon Barkley was drafted in 2018. Let’s consider the Bills going with a best-available-player approach regardless of position. That position has a premium placed on it in the draft — with it being very likely the Bills will select late in the first round, the receiver talent is likely to be largely picked over. Very rarely do teams get the opportunity to draft a player as talented as Robinson at pick 30. Robinson is wired the right way, and it’s easy to see how Buffalo’s decision-makers could fall in love with two-time 1,000-yard rusher in the pre-draft process. I’m not saying the Bills should do this, but you at least have to consider the possibility if guard O’Cyrus Torrence is off the board at this spot. We’ve already talked about a couple of candidates to be drafted for the offensive line in recent versions of our mock drafts. Just for fun, let’s consider another weapon for the Bills on offense. But these are all thought exercises to consider with over three months to go until the 2023 [NFL Draft](https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-draft).
