The YouTube star also claimed that Findeisen never reached out to him for comment, insisting that the first time he was directly contacted was on Christmas Eve, after the series had been released. In the seven-minute video, which doesn't address most of the alleged victims' claims and ends in an advertisement for Cryptozoo's eventual release, Paul accuses the reporter of using nefarious methods to tell his story. Findeisen interviewed over a dozen alleged victims of the crypto game, which was never fully released and left those who bought NFTs that were supposed to be used to make money allegedly down thousands of dollars.

You hired ‘em, ya fuckin’ idiot!” Piker goes on to call Paul’s claims in the video “compounding the Ls.” Yeah, that’s definitely one way to look at it. “The fact Logan is suing me instead of the criminals and con men he hired says it all,” Coffeezilla said. (Kotaku couldn’t independently verify these facts and the Johnson County District Court rep for the Records Office said that “there were no public records” for Zach Kelling.) Paul brings this up to cast aspersions on Kelling’s character and to insinuate that the things Kelling said in Coffeezilla’s videos—that he had 30 engineers working under him and was burning $50,000 a week on the CryptoZoo project—are completely false. Logan Paul ends his video by assuring viewers that CryptoZoo is still coming, in defiance of Coffeezilla’s claims that it’s not actually being made. In fact, we only lost money trying to pick up the pieces.” He describes former CryptoZoo lead developer Eddie Ibanez as a “con man who fooled billionaires, the Mormon Church, the owner of the New York Yankees, and now me.” He then casts aspersions on yet another one of Coffeezilla’s sources, a man named Emilio who Coffeezilla interviewed for his reports. Anyway, in his response video, Paul focuses on what he calls three “discrepancies” in Coffeezilla’s reports. In his video, Paul displays papers purporting to be official documents from the Johnson County Court in Kansas referencing Kelling’s alleged criminal charges.

“People relied on me to create the project, and when sh*t wasn’t working out and I found out the extent of just how bad things were behind the scenes… “The advice was that while the actual legal process was going on because of a criminal investigation taking place, I had to stay silent.” On the January 4 episode of Impaulsive, Logan revealed that he “crumbled internally” after finding out how bad the situation surrounding CryptoZoo became, and was advised to stay silent as it became a criminal investigation.

Wrestler Logan Paul has fired back at popular YouTuber Stephen Findeisen, a.k.a. Coffeezilla, following allegations of scamming investors.

In substantiating the criminal element, Paul alleged that Kelling had multiple run-ins with the law and Coffeezilla had not fact-checked the developer on purpose. However, Paul stressed that the team comprised only three developers, and the game was still under development. Interestingly, Coffeezilla insinuated that Paul’s team did not invest $1 million in creating the game as initially claimed. Based on Coffezzilla’s project analysis, he summed it up as a cash grab with no intention of delivering a final product. <…> Like many on this platform, you have successfully used my name for views and money. “You have used my name for views and money.

Paul then spends the rest of his video describing how bad it feels to be targeted by Coffeezilla after "years of personal reform" and promises that CryptoZoo is still coming, with a release date of 2023/2024. Paul admits that Coffeezilla reached out to his manager twice, although criticizes the creator for not contacting him earlier. Paul might not be willing to let his NFT project die just yet, but he's quickly running out of allies. It's worth noting that while the recording of private phone calls is illegal in some states, Coffeezilla is based in Texas, a state which allows phone call recordings as long as one participant consents. It's safe to say that Logan Paul isn't backing down from this without a fight, although it's difficult to see him winning any court battles with the evidence he has on hand at the moment. He also explains that this developer allegedly lied about having thirty engineers working on CryptoZoo, as it transpired the developer only had three.
