The Rose Parade will begin in Pasadena, California, at 11 a.m. Floats and other people part of the parade will go 5.5 miles down Colorado Boulevard. That's because the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, the organizers of the parade, have kept it a tradition to not hold the parade on Sundays. This year's Rose Bowl Game, which follows the parade, will also be on Jan. The annual parade typically kicks off the morning the first day of the calendar year, but it won't happen on Jan.

The organisers introduced a rule that the Rose Parade should never take place on a Sunday and it remains in palce to this day. It is because the event has a ‘never on Sunday’ rule. It will also be shown live in Armenia, the Caribbean, Latin America and on American Forces Network. It will take place in Pasadena. It will be followed by the Rose Bowl, Utah will take on Penn State in the College Football bowl game. The Rose Parade takes place in Pasadena, California.
