Well, in the last three weeks, it was the defense that had to attempt to overcome the offense. Jacobs emerged as one of the most productive backs in the league, Carr and Adams rediscovered their Fresno State chemistry and the offense was rolling. While it can be debated whether it’s the right thing to do, everything about the Raiders feels like a franchise steamrolling its way toward a breakup with its quarterback. [Raiders](https://theathletic.com/nfl/team/raiders/) defense gave up a game-winning drive to a terrible offense for the second time this month, but they don’t deserve most of the blame for Las Vegas’ 13-10 loss to the [Steelers](https://theathletic.com/nfl/team/steelers/) on Saturday. Ultimately, it was the underachieving offense that guaranteed the Raiders (6-9) would have a disappointing finish to this season.
