If you want something else to root for, an Eagles loss next week to New Orleans should be on the list because with a win, they clinch the one seed. With Seattle’s loss, that puts them at 7-8, making 9-8 the best record they can achieve.

The Dolphins are one of the best, especially at creating the explosive play, and Mike McDaniel is smart and creative as a play-designer. The Packers offensive line –without David Bakhtiari – is in for a big-time battle. A 3-0 finish is going to make it quite likely that the Packers are playing postseason football. Either the Packers are going to begin down a legitimate playoff path or see the season end in Miami. Produce a win, and the once-cloudy pathway to the postseason suddenly looks brighter than Rudolph’s nose.

Green Bay would have a tiebreaker over the Saints by virtue of a better record in NFC games (7-5 to 6-6) and would get the playoff spot, even if it were a three-way tiebreaker between the Packers, Saints and Seahawks. Now you have Carolina at 8-9 with a division title and Tampa Bay at 8-9 in position to vie for a tiebreaker. If Detroit beats the Bears next week, Green Bay could still match the Lions at 8-9 with a season-finale victory, but Detroit would have the edge on tiebreakers, coming down to common opponents. And, of course, the Packers would also have to sweep Minnesota and Detroit. The Packers could still win their final two games to post an 8-9 record. If the Packers indeed win out, Washington must lose just once more, with two remaining home games against Cleveland (6-9) and Dallas (11-4).

The over/under is set at 49.5 points, the highest mark for any game this week. [According to FiveThirtyEight’s playoff predictions](https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-nfl-predictions/), the Packers will make the postseason if they win out and the Commanders drop just one more game. [Seattle Seahawks](https://www.fieldgulls.com/)lose at least one more game and the Washington Commanders lose at least two more games. Jean-Charles was a primary special teams player early on in the year, but those snaps have now been taken by Corey Ballentine and Innis Gaines. Understandably so, all eyes over the last handful of games or so have been on Christian Watson and the Packers’ passing game, but the offensive line has been playing much better as well — and been relatively healthy — during this stretch, which has resulted in time for Aaron Rodgers and a potent run game.

The Dolphins need no reminder of how important this game is when it comes to their playoff chances, but they need to show they are a team that is ready to win these kinds of games. I'm sure he has a name for the look, but we'll just go with Papa Claus The Packers had a terrible start to the season, but have somewhat turned things around of late and now they have an outside chance at a Wild Card spot in the NFC.
