Reuben Frank (12-2). This is such a fascinating game. Can't wait till 4:25 p.m. Saturday. Mathematically, it's not even that important for the Eagles.

But I think anyone who questioned Hurts’ value is going to learn in real time this weekend how crucial he is to the offense. The return of Dallas Goedert is almost enough for me to believe that Minshew can pull off the upset. A chance to beat your division rival and lock up the No. the drop-off from Jalen Hurts to Gardner Minshew is severe. Defensively, the Birds will have to stop the run. If that happens, then the Cowboys might be able to march down the field against the Eagles. I keep coming back to this: Jalen Hurts is a great quarterback, and the Eagles will miss him, but to me it’s about the team, and the Eagles have a better team, a better organization, a better culture than the Cowboys. It’s why the Eagles have won 14 playoff games since the mid-1990s and the Cowboys have won three and haven’t gotten to an NFC Championship Game since the days of Emmitt, Troy and Michael. It’ll be close, it’ll be a nail-biter, it might come down to the final possession. The fear is that Dak Prescott has a really good game and the Eagles aren’t able to force him into turning the football over. Maybe I’m crazy or maybe I’ve been too close to a really good team all season, but I think the Eagles can and will win this game. And the Eagles haven’t swept the Cowboys since 2011.

“I just feel that it takes time to kind of develop that synergy on a unit like kickoff return because it’s gotten progressively harder over the year,” Scott said. “You gotta use your speed, trust the scheme and try and make something happen,” Scott said. But you just gotta use your speed and be deceptive.” Scott said it’s way tougher to use his vision on kickoffs than it is as a running back. It’s hard to react to all of that. Depending on the schemes, you got double teams here and there but it’s tough. “It’s just about locking in on the details,” said receiver Zach Pascal, who blocks on kick return. This year, the Eagles are on pace for under 33 in a 17-game season. Scott, of course, made sure to point out several times that he’s just one of 11 players on that kick return unit and it takes all of them to bust out big returns. “I don’t know about earlier in the season. And they’ve scored points after both of his big returns the last two weeks. “I’m enjoying it,” Scott said.
