John Krasinski and Wendell Pierce reprise their roles for the third season of Tom Clancy's "Jack Ryan" but there are also quite a few new faces.
Zuleikha Robinson will take the role of Zeyara. For this season, Peña's role is as a guest star but it has already been confirmed Chavez, and Peña, will be back for Season 4. Peter Guinness has been confirmed to play Petr in Jack Ryan. There have also been rumors that the Narcos star may also reprise the role of Chavez in a spinoff that is currently in development. The show will also see the return of Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November, but there are also new cast members who will be appearing in the new Jack Ryan episodes. Jack confirms the intel to Elzabeth and Greer back in Rome, who inform him that the Russian Minister was just assassinated at a soccer match in Prague. But the guy confirms that the Sokol initiative is real, active, and in motion. His work has appeared in The Village Voice, All Music Guide, Pitchfork Media, and Nicki Swift. Johnny Loftus is an independent writer and editor living at large in Chicagoland. Wright and her CIA higher-ups have authorized Jack and a small team of special operators to hit a container ship in the Black Sea on the hunt for absconded nuclear material. Already suspicious of the CIA brass – it’s something Greer taught him – Jack’s convinced that they’re hanging him out to dry once Elizabeth says to turn himself in. As Alena Kovac, Nina Hoss’s barely perceptible smile as the Russian minister leaves in a huff is completely delicious and another reason why Jack Ryan’s plausibility is cultivated with the hiring of talented supporting cast members like Hoss and Betty Gabriel as no-nonsense CIA boss Elizabeth Wright. A nuclear scientist, in fact, secreted in a compartment like he was gift-wrapped for the Americans. At a tense meeting in the president’s office, diplomat Aexei Petrov (Alexej Manvelov) warns that NATO plans to move missile systems into the Czech Republic with the blessing of progressive Czech president Alena Kovac (Nina Hoss), whose cagey father Petr (Peter Guinness) is retired from government but still active in intelligence circles. And so we’re brought to Jack Ryan Season 3, where the newly-minted Rome Station case officer is passed a piece of tantalizing evidence by Russian government operative Zoya Ivanovna (Ana Ularu). It’s more exciting to place the star and co-executive producer of the series in the field, in the center of the action, and in direct confrontation with the collection of international terrorists, dark money operators, and foreign government shot callers he’s encountered since becoming the mentee of Company lifer Jim Greer, played on Jack Ryan by perennial scene stealer Wendell Pierce. Putin, Zelenskyy, Biden: none of these politicians exist inside the “Ryanverse.” But the plot of Jack Ryan Season 3 is seeded with contemporary geopolitical zest.

After a long, three-year wait after season two dropped in 2019, CIA agent Jack Ryan is finally back for the third season of Jack Ryan, and the good news is that ...
In the novels, she becomes Jack's wife, so it is possible we could see a wedding in season four – maybe that will be the happy ending for Jack at the end of the series? Season three has only just dropped on Amazon Prime, so it is unlikely we will see a trailer for season four until spring 2023 at the earliest. She was absent in season two – Jack did mention he was single in one episode – and wasn't mentioned in the current third season, either. However, as there are 21 novels (some co-written by Mark Greaney, Mike Maden and Marc Cameron with Tom Clancy, and others written by Greaney and Grant Blackwood after Clancy's death in 2013) it's anyone's guess which one could be used as a blueprint for the final season. As fans know, Cathy was never written out of the series, and was still with Jack at the end of season one. Peña, best known for his roles in Narcos: Mexico and Ant-Man, will join the season-four cast as Ding Chavez, a character well known to readers of the Clancy novels.
With Season 3 of 'Jack Ryan' dropping on Wednesday, Prime Video's grip on the dad demographic continues to tighten.
[The Terminal List will also be renewed](https://deadline.com/2022/09/the-terminal-list-chris-pratt-more-episodes-coming-1235124078/)—there is evidently a market for this subset of Dad Television. They won’t be for everyone, but for those looking to hop on the Dad Television bandwagon, Amazon’s trio of middlebrow thrillers is a great place to begin your mission. (If anything, the biggest issue with the latest season of Jack Ryan is that our plucky analyst slots in a little too comfortably as a conventional action hero.) The other essential component is narrative misdirection: Just when you think you’ve gotten to the bottom of the core mystery, these shows love to throw a late curveball at the audience. (Unsurprisingly, the authors behind Jack Ryan and Jack Reacher—the late Tom Clancy and Lee Child, respectively—are regarded as airport novel royalty.) It’s these very qualities that make the Amazon Jacks an acquired taste, especially when you consider that the minds behind the source material tend to lean conservative. Rather, these series are at their best when they emulate the economy and pace of a really gripping and knowingly trashy airport novel. ( [Michael Mann’s Ferrari](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/adam-driver-michael-mann-ferrari-movie-photos-1235235710/) can’t come soon enough.) In the meantime, you can still get something close to a Dad Cinema fix through its worthy small-screen counterpart: Dad TV. The Terminal List sees the aforementioned Reece (Chris Pratt) narrowly survive an ambush in Syria that takes out the rest of his SEAL platoon, only to learn that trouble has followed him home and threatens those closest to him. And in the third season of Jack Ryan, the eponymous CIA analyst (John Krasinski) is in a race against time to stop Russian extremists from overthrowing the president—note: a fictional figure, not Vladimir Putin—and setting off a chain of events that could lead to World War III. In Reacher, former military police officer turned rogue drifter Jack Reacher (played by the As one might expect from the Peak TV era, there’s such an abundance of shows being made that some of them—whether it’s Peaky Blinders, Bosch, or Billions, just to name a few—inevitably cater to the dad demographic. All three of these shows released a season in 2022, and while the Amazon Jacks are of varying degrees of quality, they scratch the same itch by following characters with a military background who don’t mind getting their hands dirty to save the day. While superhero movies remain Hollywood’s blockbusters du jour, not even new entries from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could compete with Top Gun: Maverick in 2022.

They meet with Jeremy, an MI5 operative, who can introduce Jack to Rupert Thorne, the CEO of a private military company protecting the shipments of tantalum mining equipment. After Jack has a meeting with President Reyes in Venezuela, he encounters Harriet at a bar. When Max draws his gun, a gunshot sound is heard and Harriet appears behind him. "I'm gonna get so much shit for this," Mike jokes to Jack and Jim. Mike eventually meets with General Miguel Ubarri, President Reyes' right-hand, and tries to offer him a deal. As Gloria steps up her presidential campaign, Jack sends protection to Gloria's house and trains her security. When anti-American protests flare up, Jim, Jack, and Mike head to a safe house. [Abbie Cornish](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/abbie-cornish/3030268272/), who plays Jack's romantic interest Cathy Mueller, will be back. It would make sense for Amazon to hold Season 4 until late next year to get it on an annual release schedule and to allow the potential spin-off time to get ready for release the following year. Season 4 has been filming since Feb. There's no release date for Jack Ryan Season 4 yet, but it shouldn't take another three years between seasons, because Season 4 has already started filming. But the world is an unstable place, and Jack's work isn't done: He's gonna save the world again in Season 4. While there isn't much news about Season 4 available, details about the cast and filming locations have trickled out.
Season three of “ Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan,” starring John Krasinski, returns to Amazon Prime Video with a storyline that may feel familiar.
Jack Ryan season 3 sends the CIA hero on the run, and he'll be back for one final season on Prime Video. Here's what we know about Jack Ryan season 4.
But here's hoping John Krasinski closes out his tenure as Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan on a high note with season 4. As Jack Ryan ends with season 4, the franchise is poised to continue with a spinoff centering on Domingo "Ding" Chavez (Michael Peña), another Tom Clancy hero from his novels. Jack Ryan season 3's ending set up some aspects of season 4 but gave no hint of what the story will be and what Ryan's final adventure will entail. In Jack Ryan season 3, Jack uncovers the reactivation of a decades-old Russian plot to start a war with a nuclear weapon, which would lead to the return of the Soviet Empire. It's likely Jack Ryan season 4 will release in 2023. The third season arrives 3 years since Jack Ryan season 2, which was set primarily in Venezuela and saw Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) prevent an international incident while uncovering corruption in the US Congress.
The Jack Ryan Season 3 cast has all your favorite characters, but the Amazon original series also has some notable newcomers.

The TV side of his career is just as impressive, if not more so, with dozens upon dozens of appearances including on shows like Sons of Anarchy, Chernobyl, Dick Barton: Special Agent, and Game of Thrones, where he played Jeor Mormont, the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch during the show’s first three seasons. She has also appeared in other movies like Phoenix, A Woman in Berlin, My Little Sister, and The Contractor. He also provided voice work in the 2013 heist-heavy video game, Payday 2. If you have already started the series return and are wondering where you’ve seen these Jack Ryan new cast members, worry not, because we are about to break it all down now. This includes Michael Pena, who, according to Her other film appearances include Upgrade, The Purge: Election Year, and Beyond Skyline. Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan season 3 hints at the reported Rainbow Six spinoff that will star Michael Peña as another Clancy hero, Domingo "Ding" Chavez.
[John Clark and Jack Ryan](https://screenrant.com/tom-clancy-without-remorse-jack-ryan-shared-universe-explained/) have already been made, and all three projects appear to be part of a Tom Clancy shared universe on Amazon Prime Video. Since season 4 will be the final season of Jack Ryan, Rainbow Six is likely planned to take over the Tom Clancy franchise on Amazon Prime Video. Michael Peña is reportedly joining the cast of Jack Ryan season 4, which will formally set up his Rainbow Six spinoff. Little by little in the first half of season 3, Jack Ryan uncovers proof of a Russian conspiracy to use a nuclear weapon called Sokol and blame the United States. Jack and his team managed to escape the nuclear plant, although one of the soldiers was wounded in battle. But they need further proof to locate Sokol, which led Jack and November to call upon a couple of special forces soldiers to join them in a nighttime raid of the nuclear facility.
The political thriller series is based on the novels by Tom Clancy and follows CIA analyst Ryan as he finds himself thrust into the field and working as a spy.
The scenes, of course, did not feature Ryan himself, as he is traveling around Europe, but instead showed his superiors back at the CIA headquarters. Prague Castle, the president of the Czech Republic's official office, reportedly served as a filming location. It is here where Ryan uncovers the Sokol Project plot and ends up having to go on the run. Some Jack Ryan Season 3 scenes were set and shot in the Greek capital, with the crew being spotted there in the summer of 2021. A lot of Jack Ryan Season 3 filming took place in the center of Prague. The third season of Jack Ryan begins with our main character working in Rome, the capital city of Italy.

But he explains that Petrov and his allies in the government and military, in their quest to restore the Soviet Union, have already acquired the uranium necessary to build the Sokol nuclear device. But while it will give them precedent to poke the beast of international conflict, it’s also a signal that the president is not buying the sham story of US involvement in the assassination. Petr reassures Lychikin that neither Jack Ryan nor his daughter the Czech president will be a problem, and then he welcomes a third guest to the lodge. Later, on a hunt in the woods, Petr puts a bullet in his brain. He seems to believe that she’ll come around to his faction’s aims, that her Russian blood will sway her to his side. Without cost, we have no identity.” And for these guys, the rise of a new Soviet Union is the only identity they want. Greer lays it out for Kovac – that the slain Russian defense minister was quietly an advocate of nuclear detterence, that Petrov, the new minister and a true hardliner, was likely behind the assassination, and that Radek was involved in the plot. Petr is hosting a gathering at his hunting lodge in the wilds of Bohemia, and arriving first are two men, Zubkov (Ivan Mathias Petersson) and Lychikin (Lenn Kudrjawizki). “The item we have agreed upon has been acquired,” Zubkov says, and Lychikin hands him a bank token attached to $20 million in payment. It has ramifications that run all the way to the top of the world’s power centers. As the former chief of the agency’s Moscow station, Greer has a working relationship with Alena Kovac. (“You’re not the only one whose cover’s blown.”) But she does agree to set up a meet between him and her mysterious Russian contact, the original source of the Sokol intel, who we know is the Russian intelligence veteran Luca.
Jack Ryan must confront the machinations of a long-planned Soviet era coup in the season 3 finale.
Who knows – maybe this is the season that finally makes a live-action Jack Ryan character President of the United States like Tom Clancy did in his novels! Knowing that Jack Ryan season 4 will be the final go-around for the Prime Video version of the character opens things up quite a bit. Jack Ryan saves the day a whole hell of a lot in season 3. Once that fails, they move on to something quite beautiful in its simplicity: overthrow the whole dang Russian government and use a coup-friendly Naval officer (Antonov) to goad the Americans into a nuclear strike. Once Luka makes the call over to the USS Roosevelt, Jack is able to get his American counterpart to do the same. Petr enlisted the help of Defense Minister Alexei Petrov (Alexej Manvelov) to stage a coup within the Russian government and enact the Sokol plan. In the context of the show though, “sokol” refers to both a project and a weapon set to be utilized within that project. Luka shot him and left him for dead, but he not only survived – he grew up to be a mysterious powerbroker (played by Peter Guinness) who helped install his daughter Alena Kovac (Nina Hoss) as president of the Czech Republic. The bad guy in Jack Ryan season 3 isn’t so much Russia, but Russians – more specifically, a handful of Soviet era hardliners who are eager to restore the heyday of the U.S.S.R. Though it’s not immediately clear who these soldiers are, information slowly leaks throughout the season that many of our major players in the present day were a part of this moment. According to their intelligence, Project Sokol was a plan initiated by a handful of hardline Soviet party men within the U.S.S.R. With all eight episodes of Jack Ryan season 3 available to stream on Prime Video now, let’s break down the season’s big arc, that ending, and what it means for Jack going forward.
As for Greer, his investigation into Sokol has narrowed to the leaks in President Kovac's inner circle. With a CIA team he stakes out the home of Radek, her ...
They argue over the phone between Prague and Moscow about who has incurred the most exposure, the most risk; but mostly they argue about the uranium. Radek is with the president at a military airfield for the official unveiling of the NATO missile systems, but when he takes Jana’s call, he knows the search of his house changes everything. His work has appeared in The Village Voice, All Music Guide, Pitchfork Media, and Nicki Swift. He appears at Petr’s door, and the two veteran spies engage in a cerebral battle over the nature of conquest, colonization, and blood ties. Then he dismisses the rest of the president’s security detail, commandeers her official vehicle, and splits from the motorcade entirely. As for Greer, his investigation into Sokol has narrowed to the leaks in President Kovac’s inner circle. It’s the same tactic Luca applies to his bureaucrat hostage. His encounters with Alexei Petrov are now caustic and tense – “The man at the top can trust no one,” Luca warns the defense minister; “everyone else needs allies” – and the two spar openly during a strategy meeting with the situation in Czech Republic as proxy. He’s in Budapest with Mike November, and in the wake of their meet with Luca, they’re setting up an operation to sweat Zubkov the arms dealer for more actionable intelligence on the Sokol plot. He does deliver an absolutely cold-blooded stare right into Radek’s soul, however, marking this moment as more proof that having Wendell Pierce in your cast is one of the biggest wins there is. Luca, who is exactly the kind of old school spy to have access to a cement-scarred basement chamber that isn’t on any set of building plans, also has the Russian president’s chief of staff bound and gagged in such a place. The Rome station chief takes a lashing over the phone from the CIA director, who also hangs an ultimatum around Elizabeth’s neck: bring Jack in, or say goodbye to her career.

In addition to Krasinski and Kelly, Jack Ryan Season 3 also features Wendell Pierce returning to the cast as James Greer. One sees Krasinski dressed in tactical gear with an assault rifle, though the photo also features the team of cameramen and all the lighting rigs and crew alongside them that turn this image from just Krasinski holding a fake gun into the Jack Ryan that we see in the show. Luca is on the move with the warhead, likely deeper into the country, and they’re prepared to follow, especially when Jack makes another discovery in the data left behind in Matoksa. The FBI has arrived to escort her from her post. His work has appeared in The Village Voice, All Music Guide, Pitchfork Media, and Nicki Swift. Even though trust is a precious and nearly unattainable commodity in the global intelligence community, the Russian agent asks the American agent for it, so that he might follow the warhead to whoever is behind its construction. “Not really.” How could she have trusted the man who told her never to trust anyone? “What have you done?” she cries, and it’s not simply about the murder of her former security chief. They advance to the cooling towers in search of the Sokol plotters. By the time Greer arrives at the mansion, the sun has come up and her father has gone. My family for yours.” Radek heads for the president’s mansion in the country to lie in wait for Petr. And he asks Jack to trust him. This is where Sokol began, a Soviet town dedicated to the research and development of a secret nuclear program, and the site of the Red Army’s massacre of scientists that kicked off Jack Ryan Season 3. The restoration of his beloved Soviet Union is more important than any harm his plan might cause, and that includes hurting peoples’ loved ones.
Betty Gabriel joins Prime Video's 'Jack Ryan' Season 3 as CIA Rome Station Chief Elizabeth Wright, along with Nina Hoss as Czech President Alena Kovac.
It's up to Jack Ryan and his CIA colleagues to help save America from all-out war with Russia in the Season 3 finale.
Back in Moscow, the widow of the assassinated Defense Minister Popov is revealing a recording of Petrov's, stating that he was the one who killed former Defense Minister Popov in an attempted coup of the Russian president and top generals. The Fearless launches a torpedo that fails to hit the Roosevelt and the ship's captain and the President of the United States must decide if they want to return fire, engage withe Russians, and start World War III. It's the Russian destroyer, The Fearless and the United States vessel, the USS Roosevelt engaged in a very high stakes game of chicken. Together the group must go rogue and convince the higher ups in the CIA and eventually, the President of the United States and Joint Chiefs of Staff that the threat being posed is not being organized by the Russian government, but a terrorist cell within the country hell-bent on returning Russia to its pre-glasnost glory days as "the country that kept the world up at night." After ordering the assassination of the Russian Defense Minister, and framing the United States for it, his successor, Alexei Petrov (Alexej Manvelov), is determined to restore the former Soviet Union to its greatness before the end of the Cold War and the subsequent deescalation of nuclear weapons. This period is better known as "The Cold War," and the race to gain a nuclear advantage was at a fevered pitch.
