Florida is set to make its first ever appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl, taking on Oregon State on Saturday.

That included a 21-point comeback over rival Oregon in the regular season finale. This will be Florida's first year in the game, with it being the first year the Las Vegas Bowl has an SEC tie-in.

On 4th and two at the OSU 20, Montrell Johnson was stuffed in the backfield for a loss of three. The Jack Miller III-led offense failed to mount any production until a 30-0 deficit staring them in the face. Oregon State added another six points to begin the fourth quarter with a two-yard touchdown off a pitch by running back Jam Griffin. They earned favorable field position as the Gators were forced to kick from their own 20-yard line after a personal foul call on UF to end the half. Gulbranson took it in himself for a seven-yard touchdown scamper. With little signs of offensive competency, limiting the Beavers scoring was Florida's only hope to emerge victorious.

The Gators put together only one meaningful drive, which resulted in a failed 52-yard field goal attempt midway through the first quarter. Quarterback Ben Gulbranson passed for a touchdown and ran for another score. With Damien Martinez nursing a shoulder injury, Deshaun Fenwick ran for 107 yards.

It was a pleasure to watch and thank you all for your contributions! The fourth quarter was void of drama besides a Florida Gator 435 game streak of putting points on the board. The streak extends back to 1988 and leads FBS football, in the end the Florida Gators kicked a 40-yard field goal with 37 seconds left to get points on the board. A blocked Florida punt and Ben Gulbranson touchdown run meant the route was on despite a missed extra point, 23-0 Beavers. Oregon State was locked on the Florida running backs all game though and were not going to let Trevor Etienne or Montrell Johnson get free for big gains. Martinez’s injury didn’t seem to serious, but the Beavers controlled the game and didn’t need to rush him back and risk further injury.
