Brown has already been elevated twice, leaving the team with just one more chance to call up the veteran receiver before either having to put him on the 53-man roster or wait for mid-January to call on his services again. At the end of the regular season, both reset to 0 and both can be elevated an unlimited number of times for the playoffs. However, once the postseason begins, the counter resets to zero and there is no limit on the number of times a player can be elevated over the course of the playoffs. Although Beasley was on the Bucs’ practice squad, those evlevations won’t count towards the three elevations that Buffalo is allowed. While Beasley ultimately landed with the Beasley has all 3 of his that can be used.

He was vocal on social media with his thoughts on the NFL/NFLPA's COVID-19 policies. Beasley's original stint with the team ended after he requested a trade but ultimately was released this March. The Bills lead the league in drops (29); Beasley had just two drops on 113 targets in 2021. Beasley was originally with the team for three seasons (2019-21). The Bills kept open the possibility of him playing less than a week after signing because of his familiarity with the offense even though there is a new coordinator this season in Ken Dorsey. He has not played in a game since October but said this week he feels like he is in game shape.

The Bills have elevated wide receiver Cole Beasley from the practice squad, making him eligible to play in Saturday's game against Miami.

Beasley reached out to GM Brandon Beane in November, letting Beane know he was interested in playing for the Bills again. Beane began to discuss the potential internally, before checking in with Beasley again after the New England game. Beasley played two games for the Buccaneers this season, Week 3 and Week 4, with four catches for 17 yards on five targets.
