Avanesyan with a right to the head, left to the body and then he unloads on an uppercut. A couple rounds in and the jab is absent from her boxing skills. Judges have it 96-93 Khegai, 95-94 Baez and 95-94 Khegai to give the latter the split-decision. Antonio Tarver points out on the pay-per-view how Cyborg would be benefitted greatly by adding a jab to her repertoire. Holloway beats the count and survives the round. Avanesyan once again tries to cut off the ring but "Bud" is just too savvy to let it happen. Avanesyan lands a left hook but Crawford gets back to peppering him with the jab. Crawford comes out in the righty stance. That uppercut is turning into the setup to a combination to the body. Avanesyan finds a home with his left but Crawford adjusts with a shot to the body and whiplashing punch upstairs. But the champ keeps slipping and responding accordingly as he deposits a crunching right hook to Avanesyan's body. A left hook-right hook combo and Avanesyan is knocked out cold on his back!

Highlights and results: Terence Crawford knocks out David Avanesyan (Bad Left Hook)

Terence Crawford retained his WBO welterweight title and kept his undefeated record, knocking out David Avanesyan in the final minute of the sixth round ...

He does have skills, and if he’s going to make a push for the top level at 168/175, 2023 is the time. (I don’t mean that in a funny way.) He makes it tough. Fighting at 154, Cyborg would be really limited in “payday” type opponents, but there has been mention in the past of her doing a catchweight with lightweight champ Katie Taylor. Crawford (39-0, 30 KO) got some good looks from the game Avanesyan here, but he never seemed to be losing control of the bout or anything. We knew he was gonna go back-and-forth between orthodox and southpaw, we knew he was gonna counter and pressure me.” He did eventually come to and appeared to be OK.

The combination of Crawford walking out of the Spence talks and opting not to face Boots Ennis in favor of a lesser threat suggest that he lacks the confidence to be the #1 welterweight.
