Pimblett improved to 20-3 as a professional and 4-0 in the UFC with three stoppages. Pimblett also revealed that he injured his foot early in the fight and that he wanted to work with Gordon on supporting charitable efforts. The strike count was low on both ends, but Pimblett landed a handful of solid elbows and knees with his back to the fence. Gordon held Pimblett against the cage for the majority of the round, but he landed barely any strikes of substance. Pimblett has a tendency to keep his chin high and Gordon made him pay for it early and often. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Pimblett, but some judges awarded each fighter different rounds.

He wasn't able to mount much offense out of it but he mostly neutralized Pimblett with his clinchwork and takedowns. Paddy got the momentum in the final 30 seconds of the second, but I gave the round to Gordon. That's why it comes as no surprise he's already co-headlining pay-per-views four fights into his run with the UFC. Big spot here for Paddy with the crowd hugely in his favor and singing his name. Pimblett settled in and landed some good hooks and a few leg kicks, but Gordon continued to find his opponent's chin with regularity. It's 20-18 Gordon on my card heading to the last.

Combo from Pimblett lands and he’s just winging shots at the end. Pimblett breaks the clinch and unloads! Pimblett gets a combo going and lands a couple but Gordon blocks most. And a teep to the body. Pimblett getting wild inside and Gordon being tight and clean. Gordon on the lead now and Pimblett starting to outwork Gordon.

Paddy Pimblett called his win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282 an easy one, but it definitely seemed questionable to many others.

Little work in the clinch happened until Gordon landed on top with about 45 seconds remaining. Gordon went in for a takedown, only for Pimblett to threaten with an unusual choke before Gordon made his way to his feet. Gordon stuffed a late takedown attempt by Pimblett and ended the first round on top.
