It seems the COVID pandemic has even impacted our vocabulary. Oxford Dictionary announced Monday “goblin mode” was selected as 2022′s Word of the Year.
This year’s selection marks the first time the word of the year was chosen via public vote from three finalists: goblin mode, metaverse and the hashtag “IstandWith.” Goblin mode was the overwhelming favorite, winning 93% of the more than 340,000 votes cast.
