It's finally time to head back to Pandora in the first of many planned Avatar sequels on the way from James Cameron.

Although the interest in 3D has long since waned, Avatar: The Way of Water will be bringing back the technology – and then some. Disney will release an Avatar sequel every other year until 2028, so while it might have taken over a decade to return to the world of Pandora, don’t expect to leave anytime soon. Avatar: The Way of Water arrives in cinemas on December 16, 13 years after the original broke box office records around the globe.

After years in which the only Avatar sequel updates were the fact that James Cameron was once again pushing movie-making technology to its limits, the marketing for Avatar 2 has finally begun.
