Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England - Live ... (Mile High Report)

The Denver Broncos will play in London in Week 8 and will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Here are all the live updates from the game.

10:15 AM MT: After giving up a touchdown drive to the Jaguars, the Broncos were down 17-14 with the game winding down. At some point, my losing streak will end and it will end the same week the Broncos’ losing streak ends. He and I talk every week and I love talking with him about the game. 8:55 AM MT: Lloyd Cushenberry is questionable to return to the game with a hip injury. 8:30 AM MT: After giving up a field goal, Russell Wilson and the Broncos offense came alive. Broncos up 21-17 over the Jaguars. Another score by the offense would certainly be nice to give the defense some breathing room in the final quarter. Denver moves to 3-5 with that 21-17 win. It sure feels like a week-to-week kind of deal now. Rookie Greg Dulcich accounted for 78 of those yards with three huge catches on the drive. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags converted that short field into a 22-yard touchdown pass to Evan Engram to take an early 7-0 lead. At 3-5, the Broncos may also have saved Nathaniel Hackett’s job for another week.

The Broncos are making it clear through Schefter that when it comes to Chubb, they're open for business — but don't ask about wideouts Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. Now, the Jaguars let a quarterback and head coach under fire to have arguably their best day of the year, going 3-for-3 in the red-zone. The feeling around the Allen rumors has been that teams are calling the Jaguars to inquire about the young and athletic pass-rusher as opposed to the Jaguars simply shopping him, but should they reconsider? But despite the investments, the Jaguars still look like an offense with a bunch of secondary options and no alpha dog target they can turn to in the game's biggest moments. Quick thoughts: Broncos 21, Jaguars 17 (jaguars.com)

Senior writer John Oehser, senior correspondent Brian Sexton and team reporter Ashlyn Sullivan offer quick thoughts on the Jaguars' 21-17 loss to the Denver ...

The Jaguars have no other choice but to go back to the drawing board and get ready for a home game in one short week. The play kept the Jaguars' lead at 7-0 and kept the Broncos in a game the Jaguars had dominated to that point. His two takeaways: Big-time players must make big-time plays and the coaching staff must adjust to make sure their best players are on the field. This coaching staff must make some adjustments to get this team over the hump. Pederson mentioned if you're going to lose, this is the way to lose because there is a lesson in each loss. But the defense was given a chance against the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos to close the door and the unit hasn't done the job. Play-calling is the low hanging fruit in the NFL; it's so easy to criticize and I admit to doing it often. The past five weeks have felt identical: the Jaguars fought hard, the defense couldn't get off the field when it mattered most and Lawrence had a couple of costly errors that changed the game. The Jaguars have led in every game this season, and all six losses have been decided in the final minutes. This is repetitive – maddeningly repetitive – but you can't analyze the Jaguars these days without focusing on the missed opportunities and mistakes that have led to six losses this season, including the last five in frustrating succession. His interception on the Jaguars' final drive was equally damaging, ending a game that felt too similar to other close losses this season. You learn more in losses like this as a team, where we are with the culture of our team, than you would in a blowout loss.

Wilson hasn't been consistent. But against the Jaguars and in the Broncos' two previous victories, he showed that he still knows how to win.

The offense spent long stretches of the first and second half short-circuiting. After the officials flagged the Broncos 12 times for 81 yards in infractions, Denver now has a franchise record for penalties and penalty yardage after eight games: 70 infractions for 601 yards. A week after Breece Hall galloped through the Broncos for a 62-yard touchdown, Travis Etienne Jr. And with Hamler in particular, Wilson has the makings of a productive collaboration. Some of the infractions were debatable. But it was fair to expect flashes of brilliance while the unit found its way. Despite a partially-torn hamstring, he left the pocket, scrambled for 10 yards and kept the drive alive. And in all three of their wins this season, Russell Wilson led a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. But on the third of those, Wilson looked deep, saw KJ Hamler and Greg Dulcich down the left sideline — and just missed a game-changing play. I’m going to hit you down the field,” Wilson said. In Week 2 against Houston, it was coolness under pressure — and a pinpoint strike to Eric Saubert down the seam. Few thought the Broncos would need a late-game drive to save their season before Halloween.

Game report: Broncos 21, Jaguars 17 (jaguars.com)

A quick look at the Jaguars' 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos in a 2022 Week 8 game at Wembley Stadium in London Sunday.

We just have to find a way to be able to finish those plays and be able to come out on the right side of those. - The Jaguars missed a chance to extend the lead when Simmons intercepted Lawrence one-yard deep in the end zone with 12:42 remaining in the first half; that marked Lawrence's third red-zone interception of the season. The Jaguars took a 10-0 lead with Lawrence passing to tight end Evan Engram for a first-quarter touchdown and Riley Patterson kicking a second-quarter field goal. From pregame huddles to fan interactions, Wembley Stadium was LOUD on Sunday for the Jaguars Week 8 matchup against the Broncos. The Jaguars now have 10 takeaways this season after forcing a league-low nine last season. Smoot's sack helped keep Denver out of field-goal range late in the first half. It marked his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game and a career-high rushing. The Jaguars (2-6) have lost five consecutive games. It's something you work all your life for and you're not getting the result you want. We just have to continue to find ways to win these games, like I've said." "We're just looking for that one to get it kind of started, then we'll build off of that. The play capped a seven-play, 80-yard drive.

In a Week 1 loss to the Washington Commanders, the Jaguars gave up TD passes of 49 and 24 yards in the final 10 minutes. Down: Trevor trouble – It’s hard to ignore how much Lawrence has regressed during the Jaguars’ five-game losing streak. Down: Late-game fades – When the Jaguars’ defense needed to get a stop after Lawrence led a go-ahead touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter, it allowed the Broncos to march 80 yards for a touchdown in just 2:11. Whether it’s fatigue, lack of focus or communication issues, the Jaguars aren’t good in the closing stretch of games. During a 30-minute span, the Jaguars ran 31 plays and only gained 103 yards. The Jaguars have converted just 8 of 17 red-zone chances into touchdowns in October. While Denver brought a solid number of fans estimated to be around 25-30 percent, it was definitely more of a pro-Jaguars crowd. Lawrence had a game-sealing interception with 1:36 remaining, which was preceded by Denver QB Russell Wilson marching the Broncos 80 yards in 2:11 for the go-ahead touchdown. Down: Seeing red -- One of the more exasperating consequences of this five-game losing streak is how the Jaguars waste too many opportunities in the red zone. Anyway, cornerback Tyson Campbell put an end to that unwanted streak by picking off a Wilson pass on Denver’s second series in which he had receiver Courtland Sutton totally blanketed. The Jaguars' other 2021 first-round pick from Clemson is looking more like a rising star at the moment than the so-called generational quarterback. Once again, whether it’s Trevor Lawrence throwing head-scratching interceptions or the defense collapsing when it matters most, the Jaguars can’t do anything right at crunch time.

The Dolphins found themselves in an early 14-0 hole, but they were able to dig themselves out of it thanks to the dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill (188 receiving yards) and Jaylen Waddle (106 yards and two touchdowns), who combined for 294 receiving yards. The Panthers are now in last place in the NFC South, but the upside is that that know they're good enough to compete for a division title. The second one came on the Jacksonville's final offensive play of the game. Denver's first touchdown of the game came on a six-yard catch by Jerry Jeudy that seemed to catch the Jaguars off-guard. Earlier in the season, that probably would have been enough to start a full collapse, but this time around, the offense was able to rebound. At that point, the Broncos went back out on the field and it felt like their season was on the line, but Wilson didn't seem too bothered by the pressure. In a game against the Jaguars, Denver lit up the scoreboard with three touchdowns in a 21-17 win.

Denver Broncos Should Avoid Unloading Key Players At Trade ... (Forbes)

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett has bought himself some time — for now. Following the Broncos' Week 8 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars ...

If you trade Chubb now — or any of Denver’s other key players — for draft capital, you’re sending the signal that the win over Jacksonville means nothing. Furthermore, Chubb is the final year of his rookie deal and is expected to command a contract worth at least $20 million annually. As Schefter noted, one team is willing to offer the Broncos a first-round draft pick. In fact, if they had lost, it wouldn’t have shocked anyone if Denver fired Hackett on the plane ride back home to Colorado. But Denver showed some fight in their win over the Jaguars. The robust amount of penalties.

Stock Up/Stock Down: Denver Broncos get the trolley back on the ... (Mile High Sports)

K'Waun Williams · Jerry Jeudy · Justin Simmons · Russell Wilson · Greg Dulcich · Latavius Murray · Jonas Griffith · K.J. Hamler.

On the opening kickoff, there was a weird miscommunication between Eric Saubert and Montrell Washington that left both players attempting to return the kick. By the game’s end, Etienne totaled 156 yards and did so on just 21 carries. He was set up well by Wilson to score the game-winning touchdown, but instead, made a crushing drop. Nonetheless, the Jaguars’ drive went from promising to finito, thanks to Bonitto. Despite fans crying for it loudly since the 2020 offseason, the Denver Broncos have refused to give Graham Glasgow much of a look at center. Gordon doesn’t seem to be the same back he was in 2020 and 2021. Since joining the active roster, in Week 6, Murray has toted the ball 37 times, gaining 136 yards and scoring two touchdowns. By dominating that drive, Dulcich helped get Denver their first third-quarter touchdown of the season. Hamler, and a crucial 10-yard Wilson scramble, despite the hamstring injury. Maybe all the Denver Broncos needed to do to unlock Jerry Jeudy, was mention him in trade rumors. For the first month of the season, this columnist was demanding for you to not sleep on Ronald Darby. No need to fret though, fans of slop and misery, we’ll still have plenty to critique in the ‘Stock Down’ section.

Mile High Monday: The Denver Broncos turn their season around ... (104.3 The Fan)

This victory doesn't solve everything or mean the Broncos season is completely turning around, but it is a small step in the right direction.

However, with his effort on targets and as a blocker, I think the Broncos should reward him by making him a bigger part of the passing game. One play flipped the field for the Broncos, and that’s the kind of play this lackluster offense needs to showcase at the right time. He’s been on the road to recovery since the middle of last season, and now Hamler is getting worked into the offense a little more each week. He’s a great asset for the Broncos on offense, and I look forward to having more fun watching him as his pro career develops. The play of the game against the Jaguars was when Russell Wilson took a deep shot to Hamler that connected for 47 yards. If you run the ball, that sets up the deep shots to Hamler. A rested defense like the Broncos can be a dangerous defense, and that can lead to more wins. It means he will try, and he will attempt to get in the way, but his technique is not as sound as it could be. Dulcich is great as a receiving threat, but to truly be a danger like Travis Kelce or George Kittle, he needs to have a well-rounded game. Against the Jaguars, Dulcich led the team in receiving with four catches for 87 yards – most of that coming on a 38-yard catch and run. I like when the Broncos get a win. If the Broncos had a better commitment to running the ball, they would give the defense the breather they need.
