Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson addressed the media on Monday, addressing the Giants loss and questions regarding James Robinson's usage.

The Jaguars will practice as usual Wednesday and Thursday in Jacksonville before conducting a final practice on Friday in London. The only other player to miss Sunday's game against the Giants was receiver/return specialist Jamal Agnew (knee injury). The team is set to depart late Thursday afternoon, which could impact playing time for those dealing with injuries, including cornerback Shaq Griffin, who missed Sunday's game against the Giants due to a back injury. "Just want to make sure that he's 100 percent. "I think that’s what we’re doing right now, it’s just making our drive to win, and our hunger will grow even more," he said. Those are the mistakes that must be cleaned up in order for them to learn how to win. "It just kind of goes back to how well Travis was playing at the time," Pederson said. We’re always right there, we just got to get over that edge and keep fighting, eventually it’s going to fall through for us," Campbell said. [NFL's injury rules](https://operations.nfl.com/media/2683/2017-nfl-injury-report-policy.pdf), if an injury "prevents the player from finishing a game," he will have to be listed on the following Wednesday's injury report even if he does not miss any time during practice. We're gonna continue to find ways to keep him on the field, because I feel like, as an offense, we are better with both those guys playing." I want to make sure they're — I know they're not always gonna be 100% in games — but I want them to be close. Etienne totaled the majority of the team's carries with Lawrence running the football just four times for three yards.

Jets' trade for RB James Robinson shows Joe Douglas is all-in on ... (The Athletic)

How things have changed: The Jets are 5-2, and Douglas reacted quickly to keep them in the postseason hunt after Breece Hall's ACL injury.

And Robinson is also a useful pass-catcher, though the Jaguars got away from that this year (seven targets in seven games). In his first two seasons, Robinson had 80 receptions (on 106 targets) for 566 yards and three touchdowns. The Jets are hoping to get the version of Robinson who started off his career in 2020 with 1,070 rushing yards, 344 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns. Per TruMedia, among 20 running backs with 80 or more carries, no player had a higher percentage of his carries go for negative or 0 yards than Robinson (28.4 percent). In the first three weeks he rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 4.51 yards per carry. He’s in the last year of his contract, but since he signed with the Jags as an undrafted free agent, he’ll be a restricted free agent this offseason. In the past, if the Jets had lost a key player right before the deadline, they would’ve simply plugged the hole with someone already on the roster. They’ll likely go back to that with Robinson in the fold, with Ty Johnson also working into the rotation as an option on passing downs. According to reports, the Jets traded a sixth-round pick that will become a fifth-round pick if Robinson rushes for 600 yards this season. Robinson is far from the explosive weapon Hall was as a rookie this season, but he’s a proven, productive running back who should fit nicely with That makes it easier for the Jets to hold onto him if Hall isn’t ready to go when training camp begins next year. And that’s why this deal — and making a move for a running back in general — was so important.
