NY Giants 13, Jaguars 11: Xavier McKinney's forced fumble ... (NorthJersey.com)

The Giants are down in Jacksonville trying to continue their magical start to the season against the Jaguars. Follow here for live analysis.

Jaguars 27, Giants 24: When the Jaguars have been good this season, they've rocked the Chargers in Los Angeles and hung with the undefeated Eagles. The Jaguars are a dangerous opponent, and this is hardly a gimme. He's been placed on injured and is now out at least four games, which means he is eligible to return for the Thanksgiving showdown in the Dallas area against the Cowboys. Barkley was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he practiced fully Friday and was not given an injury designation for the game. Landon Collins' return is official: he's in line to make his season debut after being elevated from the practice squad along with rookie defensive lineman Ryder Anderson. He was close to returning late last week and was held out to give him one more week of practice, but that's no longer the case after an apparent setback. Two key plays: Jones scrambled for 14 yards on third down, and then Jones to Saquon Barkley for 9 yards on a hot on third down. Brian Daboll wanted the Giants to start fast, and they did just that. Travis Etienne scored his first career touchdown on a 7-yard run as the Jaguars used a lot of misdirection to keep the Giants off balance defensively. Barkley has been one of the league's top players to this point, leading the NFL with 771 total yards from scrimmage. The biggest play of the first half came when Xavier McKinney punched the football away from running back Travis Etienne, who was one step inside the 5-yard line and looked to be headed for a sure touchdown. While Big Blue has convinced some with their back-to-back wins over the Packers in London and the Ravens last Sunday, they have not made believers out of everyone.

5 player prop picks for Giants vs. Jaguars in Week 7 (Jaguars Wire)

The Jaguars' Travis Etienne and Giants' Daniel Bellinger could rack up stats Sunday in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville has been fortunate to face a lot of weak rushing attacks so far this season and struggled when it faced a great one in Philadelphia. Jones threw exactly 27 passes in each of the last two weeks and averages 26.5 attempts per game. In the team’s Week 6 win against the Baltimore Ravens, Bellinger was on the field for 94 percent of New York’s offensive snaps. A week later, the defense couldn’t get off the field in a 34-27 loss against an Indianapolis Colts team it shut out earlier in the season. In three of those games, he had at least five. Last week, Etienne broke free for 48 yards on his second touch of the game.

Giants vs. Jaguars: Preview, predictions, what to watch for (New York Post)

An inside look at Sunday's Giants-Jaguars matchup in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Giants are No. The Jaguars are No. The Jaguars are ninth-best in rushing at 136.7 yards per game, doing it with a three running back attack of James Robinson, Travis Etienne and JaMycal Hasty. Nevertheless, the Jaguars were beaten, 34-27, in Indianapolis. If that happens, is there enough in the passing game to save the day? QB Trevor Lawrence has topped 200 passing yards just once in his last three games and will have to get back on track at home against a Giants defense that is gaining momentum. The Giants (5-1) have been the surprise of the NFL season thus far, with first-year head coach Brian Daboll putting his team in positions to win. 4 rushing offense at 164 yards per game, the G-Men have done enough to win despite a lack of non-Barkley offensive threats. Jaguars vs. Giants: Halftime Observations (Sports Illustrated)

The Jacksonville Jaguars once again have an uphill climb, trailing the New York Giants 13-11 at halftime. So, what did we make of the Jaguars' first half ...

Etienne had at least 12 yards but seemed either too stubborn to go down or too uncareful with the ball, resulting in a fumble the Jaguars really can't afford. It has been trending this way in recent weeks as Travis Etienne has continued to look like the most explosive big-play threat the Jaguars have on offense, and this carried over into Sunday as Etienne officially took claim of the backfield. For context, James Robinson didn't touch the field until a 3rd-down near the end of the first quarter -- a play in which Trevor Lawrence ran the ball. The Jaguars have one corner spot secured, but the other one looks like a major red flag. On each of the Giants' first several carries, the Jaguars' defense simply dominated. The Giants seemingly went into the game with the same plan the Colts used to perfection last week -- throw it quickly and often.

The Giants have Jacksonville on the ropes here, but penalties keep getting in the way. Lawrence threw a dart across the middle of the field to Kirk that resulted in a 16-yard gain. Jones rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown to lead the Giants ground game, which helped put up 126 total yards in the fourth quarter. Etienne took a direct snap on third-and-1 and was stopped short of the first down -- or was he? The Giants wore down Jacksonville's defense and used the pass to set up the run, setting the stage for another comeback victory. The Jaguars had chances to extend their lead multiple times in the second half. After holding Jacksonville to a three and out, the Giants went on a nine play, 63-yard drive that led to a Graham Gano field goal with 1:04 left to put New York up 23-17. Jones gave the Giants the lead on a 1-yard touchdown run with 5:31 left to cap a 10-play, 79-yard drive to put New York ahead 20-17. Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley led another comeback in the final period to get New York to 6-1 on the season after beating the Jaguars 23-17. New York had a scare in the final seconds when Christian Kirk caught a Trevor Lawrence pass inside the 1-yard line with seconds left on the clock, but Fabian Moreau and other defenders prevented him from scoring what would have given Jacksonville the lead with a score and an extra point.
