The Orionid meteor shower peaks on Friday night (October 21), and it looks like viewing conditions will be working in our favor in Southwest Florida.

To increase your chances of seeing a shooting star tonight, your best bet will be to look toward the southeast after midnight. Though some clouds will be around tonight, sky conditions do look mostly clear overnight and there won’t be much moonlight thanks to a waning crescent moon overhead.
