A newly released 911 call details the moments after Courtney Clenney fatally stabbed her boyfriend in their Miami apartment.

"She was in a struggle for her life," Prieto told the news outlet. "He followed me into the elevator in the lobby and I put my hand up as [if] to say leave me alone. "The audio of Courtney's call to 911 is clearly not an admission of guilt; it is a human and humane reaction to the traumatic events and actions she took to save her life that night. "[He was], you know, stalking me," she is heard saying in the building lobby. "The 911 call that Courtney made to get help for Obumseli captures the chaos, confusion, and raw emotion Courtney experienced after she was forced to defend herself," he said in a statement to Fox News Digital. They previously released video footage from an elevator showing Clenney repeatedly hitting Obumseli as he tried to restrain her. On the call, she did not say whether she stabbed Obumseli, but her legal team claims she acted in self-defense. "My boyfriend is dying of a stab wound," Clenney is frantically heard saying. "She's saying she's sorry because she's realizing what she's done. "A few minutes later, two front desk employees/security guards knocked on my door just before I was about to go to the pool." "I can’t feel my arm. She's not saying ‘I was defending myself.’"

Courtney Clenney is charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in the April 3 death of her boyfriend Christian "Toby" Obumseli.

Her lawyers claimed the amount of specifically “salacious” and “sexually explicit” evidence presented in the trial would create a “media circus” in the already highly publicized case. She disputed this claim the next day in an email to the staff member, claiming there had been “nothing physical whatsoever.” Clenney, through tears, told police that Obumseli was “stalking her” and had been sleeping in an elevator entrance in front of her apartment. Police informed Clenney she would need to obtain a restraining order at a courthouse. “It shows her state of mind,” he said, as per The Miami Herald. The Miami Herald reported that after public fights and numerous noise complaints, the apartment building was working to evict the couple. “This is not someone that stabbed somebody and didn’t care,” said Puglisi. She’s crying,” said Clenney’s lawyer. Obumseli is also briefly heard in the background of the call. ‘Cause I know him and I know he’ll do it,” she told police. Clenney claimed she was acting out of self-defence. Police later confirmed that Obumseli died from a three-inch deep stab wound to his chest.
