Spadaro: Eagles hungry, humble, eager to get back to work (PhiladelphiaEagles.com)

The feeling of 6-0 is great. Head Coach Nick Sirianni and company want that notion to linger.

"There are always things to work on, so I actually think that we can even be even more demanding and more crazy about what the standard is when you are 6-0. "You go in with a general thing of what you want to look at – where you are successful, where you aren't successful – so that will kind of tell the story. "Guys want to be great for the team and that is what makes me the happiest. We've got guys on this team that want to make plays, that want to put the game away," Brown said. That's not to say you don't do that when you're 0-6 or 2-5 or whatever, it's just easier to really get after everything because there are no feelings involved in there when you're 6-0. This period of time self-scouting is invaluable and when the time is used correctly, it becomes a tremendous benefit for the remainder of the season. That's exciting to know the team feels that way." What Brown saw in the spring and then in Training Camp and through the preseason has become extremely obvious to him in the regular season: The Eagles want it. It's going to be a lot of fun." "It's great to be 6-0 and where we are. If we want to get to where we want to be, we have to have that mindset. I think we have yet to play our best game and it's exciting to know that it's still out there."

With unbeaten record intact, HC Nick Sirianni says Eagles still ... (NFL.com)

After the Eagles squashed a comeback attempt from the NFC East rival Cowboys on Sunday night, head coach Nick Sirianni praised Philadelphia's resolve under ...

He made a play with his legs, he controlled the clock, he was in complete control. In fact, he had been so efficient and the defense had been so stingy that Dallas had trailed for a total of just 12 minutes and 37 seconds over the previous four games. The same could not be said of Rush, who likely will hand the starting reins back to Prescott next week, barring a setback in Prescott's rehab. Two plays later, he got the ball to Brown for a 22-yard gain that set up the Smith score. A defense that had not allowed more than one touchdown in any game surrendered two in the second quarter. Twice they settled for field goals after taking possession at the Dallas 34- and 46-yard lines, leaving the door open for the Cowboys to walk through. Then, fittingly, the defense ended any threat with its [third interception of the night](https://www.nfl.com/videos/c-j-gardner-johnson-picks-off-cooper-rush-for-eagles-third-int-of-snf) and [second](https://www.nfl.com/videos/c-j-gardner-johnson-nabs-leaping-int-off-cooper-rush-s-deflected-throw) for safety [C.J. "Not everybody was involved with that 2-5, I get it, but a big part of the meat and potatoes of this team was involved in that, and they just kept coming to work. "I think being 2-5 (to start last season) did a lot for this team," Sirianni said in the privacy of his office, his mom at his side and his dad across the room. Sirianni had just returned to a largely empty locker room, and there in the middle of it was DJ Jazzy Jeff, a character from the 1990s sitcom. More importantly, they have hit the mother lode in terms of landing not only talented players, but guys whose accountability to each other is matched only by competitive nature.

Don't Overthink It. A Consistent Eagles Offense Can Take Them Far. (Sports Illustrated)

Philadelphia is 6-0 after a win over the Cowboys Sunday, thanks to a consistent ground effort, while a flexible Giants defense proved to be key vs. the ...

In fact, it’s been a point of emphasis for Bowles since he got the job in April, because he thought the team was worn out last January and didn’t want that to happen again. And I think this week, with teams sniffing around the Panthers, we might start to see a little uptick in activity. He’s at a different point in his life and he doesn't put the pressure on himself that he used to. The more interesting element of it is what it means for Hollywood Brown, who’s likely now out for the year. It was a weird start to his career, and he had some good years and he had some good games and then he had a lot of change and, ironically, there's a lot of things that I saw in Ryan [Tannehill], when we got Ryan from Miami that I kind of saw in Marcus. “I think he wouldn't be playing as well as he is if he hadn’t gone through those experiences in Tennessee at the end, and then sitting behind Derek Carr. And the things we can control is we can play better. And one thing Love was explicit on was the raw amount of things Martindale allows for his players to do: Love said he’d never been used as a blitzer before this year but loves doing it now. [Quinnen Williams](https://www.si.com/nfl/player/quinnen-williams), who was an absolute force in the team’s upset of the Packers at Lambeau. He bet that Greg Roman would eventually tire of running the ball, and was ready for that by continually changing coverage picture on Lamar Jackson as the game went on. Once Sanders was eventually stoned for no gain, the Eagles opened it up to throwing for a 22-yard catch-and-run to AJ Brown before going tempo to catch the Dallas defense with a seven-yard touchdown to DeVonta Smith. Maybe most impressive to me, though, is what I mentioned in the morning column: how they leaned on their run game to close the Cowboys out.

Eagles are off to a great start but need to work on finishing, Nick ... (The Philadelphia Inquirer)

They are 6-0 at the bye week, but they had to sweat out some of those wins. "We want to be able to end a game and put it away,” the coach says.

“[Monday morning] was all about the game review, Monday night is all about our coaches doing their self-scout projects and other projects I gave them. After this weekend, the team will reconvene with its sights set on its next game: Oct. The Eagles met with players on Monday before allowing them to go their separate ways. “There’s no doubt we’ve had good first halves, and the second halves — whatever it is, we haven’t played a complete game in the sense that we haven’t really blown open a game when we’ve had two-score leads. Each game has offered a different story, with the team proving it can win in a multitude of ways. However, this season, the Eagles are benefiting from their scheduled time off in mid-October.

For all the hype that surrounded the Eagles heading into Sunday, the reality was the Cowboys would have snagged the top spot in the NFC East with a victory. Nick Sirianni on the Eagles beating the Cowboys: 'It's sweet' (Bleeding Green Nation)

The head coach talks about playing on Sunday night for a national audience, and the big-time leadership by Jalen Hurts.

He noted that Lane Johnson had just exited the game, they tried and run play, and then decided just to head to the locker room. He controlled the offense, he used the clock — like, he was in complete control, and communicating what our message was to the offensive line or the running backs, in that scenario, and it was Quarterback 101 right there by Jalen.” The head coach also emphasized that he’s so appreciate of Eagles fans, The Linc was rocking from play number one which he noted sets the tone for the game. That’s what this feels like, and so of course, you want to win the games against the teams in this division, because, this is what is so cool about the teams in this division, like these are the hated rivalries. What’s so cool about Philadelphia is it’s such a great sports town, that it matters here, and it matters nationally here, and it’s great just to see and be able to put that on display.” “What’s cool about playing Sunday night — what I learned also about playing Monday night, or just playing in Philadelphia in general — that there’s a lot of national news about the Eagles.
