Keith McNally Claims to '86' Comedian James Corden From Balthazar (Eater NY)

Keith McNally, the provocative restaurateur behind Manhattan restaurants Pastis, Minetta Tavern, and Balthazar, appears to have banned British comedian ...

During a separate incident at Balthazar in October, the comedian began “yelling like crazy” after finding traces of egg white in his wife Julia Carey’s “egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese,” McNally claims. “You can’t do your job,” Corden allegedly yelled at staff during the October incident. “James Corden is a Hugely [sic] gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin [sic] of a man,” McNally shared in the post.

For a second there, it almost looked as if the country were turning on its most confounding late-night host.

“That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! He writes, “Anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. [which presumably is why he’s so into posting about Woody Allen, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Jeffrey Epstein](https://www.insider.com/restaurateur-keith-mcnally-ghislaine-maxwell-instagram-controversy-2021-5). During one visit, Corden’s wife “ordered an egg yolk omelet with gruyere cheese and salad.” Shortly after the food arrived, Corden called the server to tell her that “there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk.” When the kitchen remade the dish, they accidentally sent it with home fries instead of salad. Thankfully, he apologized to Balthazar owner Keith McNally for allegedly being “a hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny cretin of a man” and is now welcome back with open arms. This way, I [won’t] write any nasty reviews on Yelp or anything like that.” It’s hard to imagine James Corden taking a break from singing in cars with celebrities to write a Yelp review, but the threat is enough.

Anyway, apparently James (like the rest of the internet) saw this post, and called up Keith to apologize, and Keith was happy to accept! Posting yet another wildly blurry picture of James not too long after the original post, Keith mused: "James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. And if that sentence means absolutely nothing to you, quick refresher: Yesterday, kinda out of nowhere, restaurateur Keith McNally posted an extremely blurry photo of James on his Instagram grid and revealed that James had been 86'd from the iconic New York City restaurant.
