The Nakia Creek Fire grew tenfold since Friday to 1565 acres as weather conditions enflamed the fire that had been smoldering the better part of last week.

Fire managers said the potential for fire growth remains, and containment lines are being put in place. The fire is burning near the Clark County border with Cowlitz and is northwest of the Siouxon Fire. This fire overlaps some of the the Big Hollow fire area from 2020.
