It certainly has been a long week in Washington, one that the team, their head coach, their owner and perhaps their fans are happy to see come to a close. Whether this week, and this win over Chicago, helps them turn the season around, or is just a bright spot in a dismal season, remains to be seen. Already battling a biceps tendon strain, Wentz is now struggling with a sore finger (hand?) after a nasty collision with Bears defender Justin Jones.

Maybe, but you can’t expect the quarterback to walk the ball down the field and hand it to the receiver. Luckily for the Commanders, it’s not looking like they’ll need many points to win this game. Despite the injury, Wentz has put his receivers in position to make plays. Whatever the case, Wentz’s finger injury is definitely something to watch. The injury actually had Washington questioning if the quarterback would get the green light for Thursday, but he looked good throwing in practice and was deemed good to go. Conversely, if Justin Fields was a competent quarterback, the Bears would likely have a double-digit lead over their opposition at halftime.
