Waller was hurt in the first quarter of Raiders-Chiefs game.

Jesper Horsted is the only other active Las Vegas tight end Monday night. He went to the locker room late in the second quarter, Waller does not have a catch in the game. The Raiders are already playing without backup tight Foster Moreau, who is missing his second straight game with a knee injury.

The Raiders were already without Foster Moreau in this game due to injury and he was listed among the team’s inactive players coming into Week 5. Waller is a significant piece of the Raiders’ passing attack as a former Pro Bowler in 2020 with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons receiving in both 2019 and 2020. So far this year, he has only 16 catches for 175 yards and 1 touchdown.

If Waller misses any time this season, the Raiders will likely turn to fourth-year receiver Foster Moreau at tight end. He was solid in Waller's absence last season, catching 22 passes for 248 yards and one touchdown in the six games Waller was sidelined. During his last fully healthy season in 2020, Waller caught 107 passes for 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games en route to a Pro Bowl selection.

Hopefully the injury is not too serious. Darren Waller suffered a hamstring injury and left the game. Since then Horsted has had a five-yard catch.

That should have been the first sign that he wouldn’t be coming back to the contest. Of course losing Darren Waller is quite a head-scratching problem for the Raiders, especially with backup tight end Foster Moreau missing his second straight game due to a knee issue. He was eventually ruled out of the game after initially being listed as questionable.
