Steelers vs. Bills Livestream: How to Watch NFL Week 5 Online Today (CNET)

Looking to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Buffalo Bills? Here's everything you need to stream Sunday's 1 p.m. ET game on CBS.

[incorrectly applied blackout restrictions](/tech/services-and-software/how-to-watch-blackout-games-vpn-nfl-sunday-ticket/), you may need a different way to watch the game and that's where using a VPN can come in handy. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network's sports app, you'll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions. Check out our [live TV streaming channel guide](/tech/services-and-software/stream-favorite-live-tv-channels-top-100-guide/) for details. So if your internet provider or mobile carrier has stuck you with an IP address that incorrectly shows your location in a blackout zone, a VPN can correct that problem by giving you an IP address in your correct, nonblackout area. Both offer live NFL games, though the cheaper Essential option lacks live CBS feeds, ad-free content for on-demand streaming or the ability to download shows to watch offline later. With a VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Steelers vs Bills: 3 keys to victory for Pittsburgh (Steelers Wire)

Pittsburgh is a nearly two-touchdown underdog and has lost three games in a row. But this is the NFL where anything can happen. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett ...

To do this, the Steelers have to establish the run. Last season, when the Steelers beat the Bills in Buffalo, they did it with a huge special teams play. If the Steelers want to have a shot at beating the Bills they must shorten the game.

Bold and Bizarre predictions for Steelers vs. Bills, Week 5 (Behind the Steel Curtain)

Much to the chagrin of most, BTSC's Nostradumbass predicts the Steelers' matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills.

- The Steelers get two sacks despite the absence of T.J. - Pat Freiermuth leads the team with 8 catches on the day, including a touchdown pass on the day. Members of Bills Mafia donate $47,000 to get Mitch a new pair of Hanes. - Known for his chugging ability, Mitch Trubisky attempts to down an entire gallon of Anchor Bar wing sauce, a change of jersey and underwear would be necessary, but No. - Since Kansas City doesn’t play until Monday Night, Boujee Smith-Schuster makes an appearance in the parking lot to party with crazed Bills fans. With inquiries, story lines, and more, I’ve compiled a list of predictions (some basic, and some utterly idiotic) to look for in this challenging home contest.

Steelers vs. Bills predictions: NFL picks Sunday with Josh Allen a ... (New York Post)

NFL betting expert gives their Steelers vs. Bills predictions and picks for the Week 5 matchup, which is live Sunday at 1 p.m. EST on CBS.

He’s found the end zone on one rushing touchdown and one receiving score. 1 back more than the Steelers do Harris. Last week’s 23-20 win over Baltimore (O/U 50) was played in steady rain, where it’s harder to get an offense moving early and teams are liable to lose more turnovers. But after sacking Joe Burrow seven times in their season-opening win over Cincinnati, the Steelers have lost to quarterbacks Mac Jones, Jacoby Brissett, and Zach Wilson. The Steelers’ defense has performed admirably thus far without him. They’re tied for first in the NFL in total defense (234.5 yards per game allowed) and rank fifth with 13 sacks. We’ll take the Bills and the points. The Bills have performed up to preseason expectations as the most well-rounded team in the NFL. Buffalo’s only loss came by two points in a divisional road game against the Miami Dolphins. This game has, far and away, the largest spread of Week 5. The Ravens spurned a short field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter that would have put them ahead; instead, the Bills picked off Lamar Jackson in the end zone before embarking on the game-winning drive. After an ineffective first half, Mitch Trubisky was benched in favor of the rookie Pickett, whose stat line by the end of the game certainly was unique.

Steelers vs. Bills: Gerry Dulac's quarterly observations (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

Steelers insider Gerry Dulac breaks down each quarter of action from Week 5. FOURTH QUARTER. • Josh Allen now has completions of 98, 62 and 41 yards in the ...

The game could have been over immediately, but big plays by the defense and Pickett kept it from getting out of hand. They could have fallen behind 14-0, but a big tackle for loss by Alex Highsmith and DeMarvin Leal’s block of a 49-yard field goal attempt kept the score at 7-0. But he did not get any deep help from safety Tre Norwood, who took a bad angle on the play from the outset and doesn’t have the speed to recover. The Steelers intercepted a pass in the end zone, blocked a 49-yard field goal attempt by Tyler Bass and forced a fumble at the goal line that they recovered in the end zone. • Down 24-3, Mike Tomlin elects to kick a 33-yard field goal into a stiff breeze instead of going on 4th-and-5. • Kenny Pickett was 10 of 13 for 117 yards in the third quarter and continually moving the offense. Regardless, that’s a time when you need a spark and Kenny Pickett had been delivering with his throws (12 of 18 for 116 yards) to that point. The plays are significant because it prevents Pickett from having to play catchup on the road against that defense. Watt, lining up on the edge in sub-packages. • Rookie DE DeMarvin Leal continues to be a surprise — if not great — replacement for injured T.J. • Despite the score, which is not his fault, Kenny Pickett is playing very well. Seems crazy to blame the lack of offense on him.

Looking back at the memorable Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills contests (Behind the Steel Curtain)

In he next nine games, Buffalo took seven of eight, including five straight from 1986 to the '92 AFC Divisional Game in 1993. Since then, the black and gold ...

It was a good return to the playing field for the Steelers as they went 13-3 during a very difficult period in U.S. In the fourth, the Steelers would add ten more points behind a Kris Brown kick and a Chris Fuamatu-Ma’afala 22-yard score with 3:50 left to play. Traveling to Buffalo to battle the Bills in Week 4 came with rust, but luckily the Steelers shook that off. There was a lot of frustration when Kris Brown missed a chip shot and the defense was penalized three-straight times for 35 yards at one point in the first quarter, but Brent Alexander and Joey Porter crushed Travis Henry to jar the ball loose. Trailing 14-3, the Steelers have a chance to get back in the ball game, but the holder, Mark Royals, has trouble fielding the snap and can’t get it down for Gary Anderson to get an attempt at a kick. The loss dropped the Steelers out of a first-place tie with the Browns and Oilers in the AFC Central and the Men of Steel eventually finished sixth in the conference, one slot out of a five-team postseason. Because of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our nation, the NFL postponed all of Week 2, but the Steelers were on a bye for Week 3. In the second quarter, the Steelers received a gift from the officials when Ernie Mills, despite not getting both feet down in the back of the end zone, was awarded a touchdown for the 14-0 lead and from Thomas Moore’s drop of a sure pick of Neil O’Donnell. The Steelers would go on to be one of the best AFC teams of the 90’s, but the missed opportunities in this game proved that the black and gold weren’t yet ready for prime time. The rivalry dates back to 1970 and started off with the Steelers winning the five of the first six games until the Bills finally prevailed in 1980. Things were starting to get real for the Steelers in their quest for their first championship, but they couldn’t take the visiting O.J. [Buffalo Bills](https://www.ganggreennation.com/) and the [Pittsburgh Steelers](https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/) have a long and storied history?

Joe's Ten Takes: Steelers Vs. Bills (Steelers Depot)

What an ugly game. Tom is out today, so I'm filling in with my Ten Takes from the Steelers' 38-3 loss to the Bills. 1. New QB, Same Offense: This isn't.

I think Harris is a really good football player, but to this point, he hasn’t justified the cost of the Steelers spending a first-round pick on him. The opening kickoff was more a byproduct of Taiwan Jones failing to catch the kickoff than anything the defense did, but it was nice to see them rush to the ball and tackle Jones before he could do anything. The defense just got thrashed in every aspect today, and a large part of that is being unable to put pressure on the quarterback. JV Football: Mike Tomlin loves to describe the starting units and the backups as JV and Varsity. The odds of converting on 4th and 13 are low, but the odds of winning down 31-3 are even lower. Hopefully, it’s a sign of things to come and it can be a potent combo down the line. Fight Club: Two skirmishes broke out in the game today, one after a late hit on Kenny Pickett by Damar Hamlin and one after Shaw Lawson went low on Kenny Pickett on a fourth down throw with just over a minute left. On a clear, picturesque, day, the decision wouldn’t have made sense, but when you factor in the winds in Buffalo, it REALLY didn’t make sense. Living In Their Fears: Trailing 24-3 late in the first half, Pittsburgh chose to kick a field goal on 4th and 5 from the Buffalo 25. He hasn’t really looked the part of a No. It was good to see DeMarvin Leal tip some balls at the line of scrimmage and force a few Josh Allen incompletions. But he didn’t really have the opportunity, at least not when the game was somewhat in hand.

Steelers vs Bills: Takeaways from a miserable 1st half (Steelers Wire)

The Pittsburgh Steelers knew they had their work cut out for them going against the Buffalo Bills but things have gone even worse than anyone could have ...

Pittsburgh has done nothing to put Bills quarterback Josh Allen under any sort of duress in the first half. The Steelers aren’t going to win this game but the chemistry between Kenny Pickett and George Pickens gives hope for the future. There’s no doubt the Steelers offensive line isn’t great.

Steelers vs. Bills Takeaways: The Problem is Coaching and Talent (Sports Illustrated)

The Steelers coaching staff isn't very good. Mike Tomlin deserves a ton of criticism for how he's commanding this team this season, but Matt Canada continues to ...

[bookmark All Steelers](https://www.si.com/nfl/steelers/) for the latest news, exclusive interviews, film breakdowns and so much more! They handed a rookie quarterback the starting job during a week where they had to face one of the most complete teams in the NFL while down a number of key starters on their defense - the result was almost predetermined. Not much went right for the Steelers on either side of the ball, but Kenny Pickett's first start provided a lone bright spot. Even if the Steelers had converted on those tries, the result likely remains the same. They left low-stakes opportunities to test their rookie's mettle on the table. He faced a furious pass rush and held his position in the pocket until a good option materialized. Injuries caught up quick, and the Steelers weren't deep enough to overcome them. The Steelers coaching staff isn't very good. Every team in the NFL needs to fall before they rise again. But the Steelers have a long season ahead of them. It's now hit a point where he's pushing it too far and negatively impacting the team. There's no more hiding the fact that Najee Harris isn't 100% and it's killing his effectiveness.

Stats Of The Weird: Steelers Vs Bills (Steelers Depot)

The losses will continue. As will the weird. We're through the looking glass people... - The Steelers' 35 point defeat to the Bills, 38-3, is the worst.

– Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs are the first pair of wide receivers to each have 100+ yards receiving in the same game against the Steelers since the Colts’ T.Y. – Today marks just the second time in Chris Boswell’s career he missed two field goals in one game and the first since 2018. Fun fact – Farkas is believed to be the first NFL player to wear eye black in 1942. – Davis finished the game with a pair of 60 yard touchdowns, 62 and 98 yards. – Pickett becomes the 8th QB in history with 50+ attempts in a first start. Since 2017, Watt has missed three of the four games the team has failed to record a single sack. – The Steelers’ 35 point defeat to the Bills, 38-3, is the worst loss from a point differential standpoint since the infamous 51-0 loss to the Cleveland Browns in 1989. He joins the Giants’ Homer Jones, who like Davis, had a 98 yard TD that day. His 52 are far more than the previous high of 37, Cliff Stoudt’s first start in 1980. 2013 was the other season. As will the weird. The losses will continue.
