Zach Wilson's first touchdown of the 2022 season came, surprisingly enough, on the receiving end.

Garrett Wilson, running to the left of the formation, flipped it to wide receiver [Braxton Berrios](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3123075/braxton-berrios), who was coming from the opposite direction. [New York Jets](/nfl/team/_/name/nyj/new-york-jets) used some trickeration Sunday to score a touchdown against the [Pittsburgh Steelers](/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers) -- their version of the Philly Special.

New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson returned to the field today and caught a TD pass against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With its success rate on this play, don't be surprised if they go to the well again and Wilson catches another TD this season. Wilson had been sidelined for the first three weeks of the season after suffering a knee injury during the preseason. To celebrate, Wilson followed the example of many NFL players today and hit his best Griddy.

Jets' Zach Wilson comes up huge in clutch to deliver shocking 24-20 ... (nj.com)

The New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers played Sunday at Acrisure Stadium in a key game for both teams.

Second-year offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker, who started last year at left guard and the first three games of this year at right guard, moved over to left tackle. Mitchell went down holding his knee late in the second quarter and immediately appeared to be in pain and upset. It was Wilson’s first interception since Week 13 of the 2021 season, and it was a bad one. Boswell made the kick, the longest Steelers field goal in the history of Acrisure Stadium, and ended up taking the lead early in the second half. The Jets already have three tackles who have been projected to start this season on injured reserve: Mekhi Becton, George Fant and Duane Brown. Hall, on second-and-goal from the 2, stretched the ball out to try and score the touchdown. But Wilson made a costly mistake that changed the tone of the game. On the final drive of the game, set up by Michael Carter II’s interception of Pickett, the Jets got down to the goalline with time to put the game away. The Jets still have a ton to fix. But when you consider that Wilson was 18-of-24 for 124 yards and two picks to start the fourth quarter, and he finished 10-of-12 for 138 yards and a touchdown. The key play came earlier on the drive when Wilson found Davis for a huge fourth-down conversion. The Jets stormed back for an improbable 24-20 win over the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium thanks to a monster fourth quarter from Wilson, who finished the game 18-of-36 for 252 yards a touchdown and two interceptions.
