Jordan is the heartbeat of this offense and team. It wasn’t bad this game, but they need to keep Travis healthy and he was still under pressure too often against the Eagles. That is not even acknowledging Kentron Poitier mossing the BC DB right before the end of the half. Jordan has been the ‘Noles best player through the first three weeks but this game and half in particular were incredible. Even with his mobility somewhat limited by the knee and ankle injuries he put on a show and already has 3 200+ yard passing games this year. After just the one big play in the third quarter Jordan finished his first game with 300+ yards passing.

Notebook: Jurkovec's Shortfalls Plague Eagles in 44–14 Loss at ... (The Heights)

BC football fell to FSU Saturday in a game that saw quarterback Phil Jurkovec display questionable decision making, dropping the Eagles to 1–3.

Morehead completed his first pass on a 7-yard connection with wide receiver Dino Tomlin early in the fourth quarter. On the third-and-6 play, Jurkovec had a clean pocket, his primary read was open, and time was in his hands. BC ranks 129th in the FBS in kickoff return defense and 58th in punt return defense. Jurkovec had made an errant throw on a poor decision and hadn’t committed to his receiver’s route, even though Flowers had beaten Florida State’s defensive back Omarion Cooper in the flat. As Benson neared the goaline, Bond reached out an arm, but Benson stiff-armed him and threw him off the tackle, never giving BC’s defense a chance. The Seminoles went on a fiery tirade in the first half, scoring 31 unanswered points, and defeated the Eagles 44–14.
