"He played the run well and was in the backfield, and he just was flashy. Take a look back at photos from past games between the two teams. "I'm really anxious to see him, because he was really active (in the preseason)," Carroll said Friday.

Geno Smith then took a sack by Grady Jarrett on 3rd and 7, setting up 4th and 18. A promising Seahawks drive was blown up by a holding penalty on Damien Lewis. Ultimately the drive stalled inside the 10 and Jason Myers was brought on to give the Seahawks the lead again. He got another 18 to put the Falcons in the red zone. They got into field goal range but a false start penalty and a strip sack by Darrell Taylor put Younghoe Koo in the difficult position of making a 54-yard kick, but he was up to the challenge. His next pass was a dart to DK Metcalf for the tying touchdown, as DK high-pointed the ball for the score. For the first time all season, the Seahawks defense forced a three-and-out. Geno Smith hit a couple of first down throws to DK Metcalf and Colby Parkinson, the latter of which was a 30+ yard catch-and-run on a well-disguised play-action fake on 3rd and 1. Thankfully, the Falcons committed a slew of penalties and Coby Bryant also got his first career sack on a punishing nickel corner blitz to force Atlanta into a field goal attempt, which Younghoe Koo converted. Jackson held Pitts in the end zone to move the ball to the 1-yard line, and Mariota ran it in on the next play. Geno Smith threw a dime to DK Metcalf on the outside to get Seattle close to the red zone. Geno’s lofted 3rd down pass into the end zone for Metcalf was knocked away by AJ Terrell, so Jason Myers came on and made a short field goal.

It was the fourth time in Smith’s career topping 300 yards passing and the first since the 2014 season. “Seattle did a great job early on kind of boxing us in and we made some plays in the passing game. Kyle Pitts, Drake London, Cordarrelle Patterson and Grady Jarrett make big plays in 27-23 victory at Lumen Field.
We saw Kyle Pitts featured a ton in this Week 3 contest, but he wasn't the only big-name Falcons skill player to make an impact. Pitts remained impactful on third down, in the middle of the field and farther deep. He ended up with a career high141 rushing yards on just 17 carries in this one, with some nifty runs throughout. Pitts was targeted a ton, especially in the early going, and finished with his biggest game of this early season. The Falcons called for a deep shot to Kyle Pitts on the first offensive play. After a week's worth of talk about the star tight end not being involved enough, was that a coincidence?

Rookie wide receiver Drake London also caught three passes for 54 yards and one score. Atlanta went on to win the game and poke fun at the incident on Twitter: He also rushed for four yards and a score.
A drone sighting grounded the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks game for a good chunk of time during the late fourth quarter.
That was later clarified to be a rogue drone hovering over Lumen Field, which sent both sets of players to the sidelines until the situation could get resolved. The advent of drones has created a new wrinkle to game day security, with Sunday’s Falcons/Seahawks game a good reminder of the new terrain we’re in with live sports. The Seahawks and Falcons have had to clear the field temporarily in Seattle due to a drone flying over the field.— Field Yates (@FieldYates)
The game wasn't delayed long, but it was an odd scene at Lumen Field.
As for the delay Saturday, it lasted only a handful of minutes. Given that two drones appeared at Lumen Field over the weekend, the NFL will likely keep an eye on Seattle's stadium in the coming weeks. That said, other sporting events have been delayed in a similar fashion. It is unclear how many have been logged through three weeks in 2022, but not all drone appearances result in delays of the game. Federal law dictates that drones "can’t fly within three miles of a stadium during a major sporting event." The NFL is one of those leagues.
