'Chicago P.D.' EP On A Future Without Jay Halstead; Voight's ... (Deadline)

Meanwhile, Hailey Upton Halstead (Tracy Spiridakos) is also coping with the aftermath of the finale as the person who killed Anna, even after Voight explains he ...

We get to learn a lot about his past and about the different things that have happened in his life that have gotten him, from wanting to be a police officer and wanting to do his job in a very specific way. We give an answer to that and we put them on sort of a new dynamic together that is a bit more stable. So this is going to throw her for a loop a bit. SIGAN: Episode 2 this season is a Burgess and Ruzek episode where we answer that question that we left hanging last season. We see that he still lives in the same neighborhood he was born in and he lives with his mother. He’s really feeling a lot of guilt in this first episode to the point where he’s really bleeding from it. The theme we’re going for this year is savior and we’re looking at this question: Can the broken be saved? He’s so talented and he brings so much to the character who you’ll really get to know this season and all the different facets of him. He’s so deeply rooted in the neighborhood that he grew up in, and he’s very sure of himself. And now in the aftermath of her death in such a brutal way, he takes a lot of responsibility for that. But I do think it’s gonna make sense to fans when they see it, and they’re gonna understand that we really wanted to do justice to the character, who he is, and what he represents to the show. With the organization out of the way, its replacement already has boots on the ground and Voight (Jason Beghe) is none too happy about it.

Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 1 Review: Let It Bleed (TV Fanatic)

Voight is still reeling from the loss of Anna on Chicago PD Season 10 Episode 1, which has Hailey questioning his state of mind. Torres...

And how will that affect how the rest of the unit operates now? You're dragging this unit, and you're dragging Jay through the mud with you, and you're going to lose them both. As their leader, Voight does have the power to drag them into anything, and it affects all of them. Is Voight 3.0 a combination of OG Voight and Voight 2.0? And now, we have this new chief added to the mix. Voight was doing Voight sh*t; it's not out of the norm. But it was the type of adrenaline-fueled drama that this series does well. But via the montage and the voiceovers, both his and Anna's, it was easy to see that Voight was in quite a state. If Voight put them at risk with his off-the-wall method of handling Enzo and this case, Hailey matched him by defying and questioning everything while in the field and disregarding orders. Her attempts to rein Voight in and be overly cautious jeopardized the risky operation. His drinking habits were concerning, but his dogged patrol of Escano's neighborhood to keep the area drug-free was relentless and unsustainable. It's as if the hour is trying to tease the possibility of Halstead changing too much, letting his guard down with Voight in a way that conflicts with how he usually operates.

He's a wonderful being and it will be great but we're exploring what he brings to the team and how we all dance together in the bullpen.” And to make his intentions clear, he stated that he would not move in with them. Dante’s a new person to not just the show, but the team and people ask: What is he like? “I think in Episode 3, he gets a chance to really sink his teeth into it and we get to really introduce him. Where it bounces is the question, but he will do his best as always. In a Zoom junket for the series premiere, Beghe told reporters, “He bounces back, but sometimes it's like a Super Ball.

Chicago PD Already Has Halstead's Replacement (It Isn't Who You ... (Screen Rant)

As Jesse Lee Soffer's exit looms, the Chicago PD season 10 premiere already introduced Jay Halstead's best replacement in Intelligence.

Soffer's decision to leave Chicago PD was a massive shock and will definitely change the trajectory of the show moving forward. Without Halstead, she is in the best position to lead the team if Voight is not available. After he leaves, the Chicago PD season 10 premiere proves that Upton is capable and willing to take over that role. Not only is Upton the most similar to her husband, but she is also the most veteran member of Intelligence. [Chicago PD season 10](https://screenrant.com/everything-we-know-about-chicago-pd-season-10/) should start on a high note. While the rest of Intelligence, including Halstead, was willing to walk on eggshells around the Sergeant, Upton took the matter into her own hands and warned Voight that he is on the cusp of losing the team if he doesn't shape up soon.

The Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek Relationship Timeline, Explained (Distractify)

Why yes, Officers Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek are the Ross and Rachel of 'Chicago P.D.' Let's breakdown their messy relationship timeline!

"There’s a lot more to work on, but it’s an exciting move for both of them." Are Burgess and Ruzek back on in Chicago P.D. Ruzek then purchased his father's old home, strictly for Burgess and Makayla to live in. Ruzek offered to propose once again, still obviously in love with his cop lady love, but Burgess turned him down. She also made Ruzek Makayla's official custodian, meaning Ruzek would become Makayla's legal guardian in the event that something happened to Burgess. Nope, Ruzek caught a classic case of commitment issues. He's just a gentleman, after all! Once upon a time, Burgess showed Ruzek the ropes on how to effectively move traffic along by moving her hips like Shakira. Of course, Ruzek was engaged when he started developing feelings for Burgess. With Burgess being Burgess, she ended up adopting Makayla. Before we answer that question, let's take a trip back in time and recap the (In hindsight, this might've been a bit of a red flag.)

General Hospital's Laura Wright Says Goodbye to Chicago PD's ... (Soaps.com)

General Hospital's Laura Wright admitted that she is far from ready to say goodbye to Chicago PD's Halstead and portrayer Jesse Lee Soffer!

I know it’s going to be heartbreaking!!!! Ok so I work on a tv show — I get it !! Wright just responded, with a heartbroken emoji face and “I get it!” Ugh I don’t want to watch this. But if Wright is any indication, Halstead’s departure is still going to sting quite a bit! From Loving and The City, to Guiding Light and General Hospital, Laura Wright has had to say goodbye to dozens of characters and probably even more actors over the course of her career.
