Bills Star Reportedly Suffered Injury In Practice Saturday (The Spun)

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, receiver Gabriel Davis suffered an ankle sprain on a non-contact play in practice on Saturday.

His team will look to get to 2-0 on Monday night in their home opener against the Titans. The Buffalo Bills could be down one of their receivers for their Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. It would be a massive loss for the Bills' offense if Davis can't suit up.

Game predictions | Bills vs. Titans | Monday Night Football (BuffaloBills.com)

Will Buffalo end its two-game losing streak against Tennessee? Find out what the NFL's top analysts are predicting for Monday night's home opener.

The Titans have won the last two meetings, but those were home games. The Titans are coming off a brutal loss to the Giants where they blew a big lead. They should put up a better defensive effort against the Bills than the Rams did. I'm not sure the Titans will be able to keep up and score with the Bills offense. The Bills have the look of a potential juggernaut. I don't see the Titans as a playoff team, but there are a couple of coaches I generally ride with in the underdog role, and Mike Vrabel is one of them.

Betting tips for Monday Night Football - Titans vs. Bills, Vikings vs ... (ESPN)

Our betting experts answer some of the most pressing questions surrounding Monday night's matchups between the Titans and Bills, and the Vikings and Eagles.

This sets the stage for [Treylon Burks](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4567156/treylon-burks) to make a huge impact. [Dallas Goedert](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3121023/dallas-goedert) under 48.5 receiving yards (-128). [Kirk Cousins](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/14880/kirk-cousins) and [Justin Jefferson](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4262921/justin-jefferson) were clearly calibrated. Goedert is a solid tight end, for sure, but he's competing with Brown and [DeVonta Smith](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4241478/devonta-smith) for targets. [Jalen Hurts](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4040715/jalen-hurts) currently has the fifth-best odds to win MVP (+1400) ahead of [Lamar Jackson](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3916387/lamar-jackson) and behind [Tom Brady](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2330/tom-brady). [Aaron Rodgers](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/8439/aaron-rodgers). [Rodger Saffold](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/13294/rodger-saffold), but also the preseason injury to [Harold Landry III](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3122793/harold-landry) (maybe their most important defensive player). [Kyle Philips](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4367175/kyle-philips) may have led the Titans in targets, receptions and receiving yards in Week 1, but now he's questionable for this game with a shoulder injury. As a result of the Bills' defensive line overhaul that includes the offseason addition of [Von Miller](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/13976/von-miller), they should be able to capitalize. Brown](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4047646/aj-brown) is no longer on the team, the Titans have become even more dependent on Henry. Throw in the [Kirk Cousins](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/14880/kirk-cousins) "prime time" narrative and I'll play the Birds at less than a field goal. The Bills were able to move the ball at will in their opener, going the entire game without having to punt and putting 31 points on the board, but the total in that game was still only 41 points because of what their defense was able to do to the Rams' offense.

The Titans need to stiffen up inside the 20 and hold the Bills to field goals. The last thing they need to do is make it easier for a good Bills team. One of the biggest disappointments – and surprises – in Sunday's season opener was the leaky run defense by the Titans. Last week it was running back Dontrell Hilliard who produced a pair of scores, but with Hilliard out for Monday's game, the Titans will need other players to step up against the Bills. For starters, a big night for Henry would allow the Titans to control the ball and the clock while also slowing down Buffalo's pass rush. The challenge for the Titans offensive line – including rookie right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere – will be much different against the Bills.
