God of War: Ragnarok – Every Major Plot Point Revealed in The ... (Game Rant)

God of War: Ragnarok's State of Play trailer reveals many key plot points as the Norse chapter of Kratos' exciting saga draws to an end.

From countless enemies to numerous allies, the final chapter in the Norse saga of the God of War franchise has set itself up to have a dramatic and exciting ending. So, along with Thor, the Valkyries, and maybe Freya, Kratos and Atreus will also be fighting Odin and could encounter any other Aesir God that did not feature in the first game, such as Vidar and Vali, two of Odin’s other children. The three Norse wolves, Skoll, Hati, and Fenrir, also seem to be allies of Kratos and Atreus, and this could be easily explained by the fact that Loki is their father, though it is more likely that Angrboda has asked them to help the duo. Their presence all but confirms that Odin will not be able to talk Kratos out of war, and could also hint at many God of War Ragnarok is set to close the book on the Norse saga of the franchise, and many fans are eagerly waiting for the chance to fight against countless creatures, humans, and gods. God of War 2 Should Be Hugely Important to God of War Ragnarok (Comicbook.com)

Much of the trailer centered around the narrative of Ragnarok and gave us a better understanding of the roles that Kratos, Atreus, Tyr, Odin, and many others ...

Still, this new trailer for the game clearly suggests that the potential death of Kratos is going to be a big focal point of Ragnarok and the story that it tells. Whether he actually bites the dust remains to be seen, but I have a hard time seeing this be the end of his arc -- especially since God of War is likely now the biggest first-party franchise that PlayStation has at its disposal. I think the tease of his death at the end of God of War was merely a red herring that was meant to misguide fans more than anything. If Kratos could change his own fate in the past, what's to say that both he and Atreus can't accomplish this once again in the face of Ragnarok? God of War 2 is perhaps the most notable example of this as that game begins with him literally being killed at the hands of Zeus. For the most part, since first being announced back in 2020, [PlayStation](/category/playstation-generic/) has tried to keep much of the story found in God of War Ragnarok under wraps.

God of War: Ragnarok Features the Perfect Odin Voice Actor (Den of Geek)

A familiar voice in the latest God of War: Ragnarok trailer reveals a piece of perfect casting.

That makes it all the more impressive that you really get a pretty clear idea of who that character is in this world through those few lines of dialog featured in that latest trailer. It’s the kind of performance that stands as both testament to the power of excellent voice casting, as well as a testament to the ways the team behind the God of War reboot has incorporated a level of emotional nuance into a series that once gleefully went as far over-the-top as it possibly could. Granted, we know little about Ragnarok‘s vision of that character at this time, but that trailer makes Odin seem like a If you’re like me, that’s probably exactly where your mind went when you heard his voice in the latest God of War trailer. The Ziegler character was often the smartest guy in the room, and he knew it. Unless you’re trying to remain entirely unspoiled about God of War: Ragnarok before you play it on November 9th, I highly recommend you check out the game’s latest story trailer.

How God of War Ragnarok's Atreus and Fenrir Sun Scene Reflects ... (Game Rant)

God of War Ragnarok's most recent trailer has a lot of nods to Norse mythology, but fans should pay close attention to one scene in particular.

From seeing how Atreus orders Fenrir to remove the sun from the sky, it certainly appears that God of War Ragnarok will be following at least some of the events of Norse myth. There is also the matter of the other wolf featured in the God of War Ragnarok trailer, which may also have a unique role to play in the story. [connect God of War Ragnarok to Norse mythology](https://gamerant.com/assassins-creed-valhalla-god-war-norse-mythology/) through the wolf's possible interactions with other characters. [new God of War Ragnarok trailer](https://gamerant.com/god-of-war-ragnarok-story-trailer-plot-points-atreus-odin/), then this would further confirm that while Sony Santa Monica is clearly looking to go in its own direction, it is still following the story beats of Norse myth as well. As Atreus is the one directing Fenrir toward the sun, this could also mean that the God of War Ragnarok version of Loki might share some more similarities with his Norse counterpart as well. It seems that it might even be Atreus and Fenrir that begin Ragnarok in the new God of War.
