You can’t launch a big, new console exclusive without some extra merch on the side and the next God of War—out November 9 of this year—is no different. Not much was shown in this new trailer for this upcoming game set in the Harry Potter universe. The debut game from Ironwood Studios appears to mix first-person exploration of a dystopian-like world with some wild-looking car action. But now Sony’s announced that an enhanced version of the game will be coming to PSVR2 in 2023. Bandai Namco kicked off Sony's State of Play livestream today with a look at Tekken 8, set to be released next year.
In the latest version of the work-in-progress build, the quality is dynamically improving each day, with the giant tanker moving closer to the shore in the background and large flames flare up near where the character is standing. In the trailer, you can see this level of quality in the newly created playable character models that completely sets itself apart from the current Tekken 7, and in little details like how water droplets run down the character's skin. Although this was captured from the story mode, it is not a pre-rendered movie made for the trailer but rather real-time rendered footage, running at 60 frames per second, similar to how you would experience the game in versus battle modes.

Sadly, although we now at least know that Tekken 8 is in development, we don't have any ideas on when we might expect to see Tekken 8 next as there was no release window or date given. According to the blog, the trailer was taken "directly from a certain part in the current work-in-progress" story mode for Tekken 8, and was played on PS5. Now as part of the September State of Play, Sony started the showcase by revealing that Tekken 8 is indeed real and is currently in development.
