It’s easy to have a lot of skepticism about a fast engagement in the real world — after all, Aven and Rachel have only known each other for a short period of time. When it comes to Aven at the moment, there is one that may be ringing in Rachel Recchia’s head more than any other: Does he want to propose? We’re so close to the end of the season and for some of the leads, this is when the most important questions are asked.

On part one of 'The Bachelorette' finale, Aven meets Rachel's family and friends and reveals something that sets off major alarm bells with her BFFs.
Erich, Gabby's final guy, says he just wants to "date" rather than get engaged after just a few months (how DARE he!), while last week's episode ended with an emotional Zach stopping the rose ceremony so he could talk to Rachel alone. Notes Nate, "Aven not wanting to be engaged at the end of this process will be a dealbreaker." In this exclusive preview of Tuesday's episode, Aven meets with Rachel's besties, Nate and Sam, who want to know if he's (say it with me now, rose lovers) ready to get engaged.

So, who is Rachel talking to in the teaser for the finale?
Entering tonight's The Bachelorette finale, we tried our best to prepare for anything with Gabby and Rachel.
This whole situation with these two was uncomfortable to watch, mostly because it felt like Rachel was so caught up on the idea of him not proposing that she lost sight of everything else. There is a certain expectation that this will happen during the season, so there are of course questions and concerns when it doesn’t. and we did build towards that as we got near the end of the two hours. So with all of this being said, we’re entering tonight anticipating that Rachel will end things with Aven at some point. During the episode tonight, this was a situation that she had to figure out how to handle. While the two are clearly in love, that doesn’t mean a proposal is in the cards.

Things got even more complicated on 'The Bachelorette' as Gabby and Rachel's final decisions loomed — read our recap.
Tino tells a producer Rachel is “throwing me under the bus,” and she tells him: “Look me in the eyes, and lie to me again.” Things get ugly between them, and Rachel says she feels “blindsided” and “betrayed,” declaring: “I’m done.” “I just want to date you,” he says, and he doesn’t want to get engaged before they get a chance to do that. She explains to her parents that Tino’s family “didn’t like me,” and her mom notices that she’s not “gushing” like she was with Aven. Tears stream down her face as she tells him how blindsided she felt by what he told her friends, and though he keeps saying he wants to be with her, he admits he may have gotten “caught up” in all of this when he told her he was ready for an engagement. She sits down with Aven and shares her concerns, and he’s not all that reassuring: “I want to get to that point with you so much.” So you’re not at that point now, then? She still worries that she’s “unlovable” after what she went through with her mom, but she and Erich seem happy and giggly as they say goodbye.
Next week on ABC, we're going to see part two of The Bachelorette finale, and it's clear that it could be curtains for Rachel and Tino.
This is when the two reunite at some undisclosed location with cameras present — it feels similar to what we saw with Hannah and Jed, or with Arie and Becca. At the moment, the easy prediction to make here is that the two end up leaving filming together, but something happens between then and the After the Final Rose. Even before tonight’s part 1 came on the air, there’s a good chance you knew already that Tino was going to be her final guy.
In part one of 'The Bachelorette' finale, both Rachel and Gabby get some unwelcome news from their final men. Read our recap.
"I just want to know the truth." "I want to date you, in the real world. "I really want us to work," he says. "The last thing I want to do is put pressure on you," says Gabby. "I love you, I love you." "I want to be engaged. "I want the best for her." "I want more time with you, and I want to come visit you in Florida and see where you live. "I just love her," he says. "I need you to know that." "I know Erich," he says. "I am ready!"
Here's the recap of the part one of the Bachelorette finale. How do parent visits unfold? Why does Aven go home? What did Erich say about proposing?
"He loves me in a way that I haven't had before but I know I need," Windey tells her dad and aunt. Walk away because he doesn't want to propose?" "What am I supposed to do? "I didn't intend for this to happen at all." a life after this is something that I want with you." He believes that with enough time, they "would've gotten there." “I don’t know if there’s anything that we could’ve done to salvage it because we were being true in the moment,” she says. He could "get there," but he wasn't "there" yet, and might need more time to date. Tony responds, "Well, I do like you." Jones says, "I want to leave here with you. Franco, meanwhile, seems "nervous" to meet Recchia's family, as her mom Mary Anne observes — and Recchia was nervous, too. This is a big deal."
Part 1 of the show's season finale didn't lack in the drama department.
"... I want to date you in the real world," Erich replied. "I really want us to work... has led me to you." "I failed. I definitely feel like I let you down in that moment." I feel so blindsided by you." "But I need to go." "I just feel really confused and blindsided... "I just feel shook up. "I want to be with Rachel at the end of this. I thought what I was seeing wasn't the real Rachel, what I was seeing was Bachelorette Rachel."
On part one of "The Bachelorette" Season 19 finale, both Gabby and Rachel end up with one man, but are left unsure about their future. Plus, who is the ...
“I want to be with Erich forever — so I want him to propose.” Fast-forward to current times and Rachel and Aven sit down with each other in the studio. And so, Gabby runs into the same issue as Rachel, left with the one man who she loves, but not certain if he’s going to propose. I saw a life with her,” a heartbroken Aven says. I just want to be with you.” “I have no idea where I’m going from here because I didn’t think I was going to be leaving here without Rachel. I do think even not wanting to be engaged at the end of this process will be a deal breaker.” Later in the episode, Rachel introduces her family to Tino and things go swimmingly. (Again, another possible hint that he might be the next “Bachelor,” with ABC giving him ample screen time.) Zach apologized to Rachel and she apologized to him. I felt like I was seeing ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel — not the real Rachel that I’d come to know and love.” Back in the studio, Zach was welcomed to sit next to Rachel. After Rachel and Zach’s confusing fantasy suite date, Bachelor Nation was met with an overly dramatic tease from Palmer on last week’s episode that promised the most dramatic finale in “Bachelorette” history.
The pair called it quits on part 1 of the show's season finale.
"... I thought what I was seeing wasn't the real Rachel, what I was seeing was Bachelorette Rachel." "What was that Rachel I was getting? Those feelings that I had, they were real and I don't want you to ever feel like I was putting on an act." I do know that it was awkward for both of us." "I was trying to find that missing piece for me," she explained. As for Rachel questioning Zach's readiness, she explained, "I was never accusing you of not being ready... "I did really love you. I could just see in her eyes that it really meant something different to her than it meant to me. It’s shocking." "In the morning, I’m expecting to feel more in love with the future Mrs. "I think it’s bulls**t, to be honest.
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia each ended Tuesday's episode of The Bachelorette with only one man who might propose in next week's finale.
"I truly love you and I do want to spend the rest of my life with you," Erich said to Gabby. "I know that I hurt you." "But realizing that, I want more time with you and I want to come visit you in Florida and see where you live. "It's not about not being ready and I want you to know that nothing has changed in terms of how I feel about you," Aven said. "I need you to know how hard it is for me to walk into my family and be like, 'When Aven says something to me, he means it and he would never lie to me,'" Rachel said. "And I get emotional thinking about talking to him." Meanwhile, Aven told Rachel's friends Nate and Sam, "I want to be with Rachel at the end of this. I just want to make sure that it's 100 percent right for both of us right now and in this very moment in time." "I want to know why," Tony said to Aven. Aven told Tony that he and Rachel shared "a lot of the same values." And to be honest, I thought what I was seeing wasn't the real Rachel." "I wouldn't trade anything in the world," Zach said.

“A life after this is something that I want with you.” She sighed, “You told me you were ready for an engagement. The fact that you don’t know is hard for me.” I just want to make sure it’s 100 percent right for both of us.” “I wish I knew better,” he said, then explained, “I want to date you in the real world.” She told the cameras “that doesn’t scream I want to propose.” “I did really love you. “It’s just hard to know it’s over,” she told the cameras. “I truly love you and do want to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said as they kissed. Aven said he was having a hard time and he was “deeply sorry” he had upset her. “I just want to be with you,” Aven said, while Rachel countered that she didn’t want to force him into engagement. I saw a future with you,” he moaned, then concluded, “I need to go.”
The pilot and the sales executive called it quits on Tuesday night's episode.
"... I appreciate your honesty and you don't have to apologize." I definitely feel like I let you down in that moment." "I failed. Then, in a confessional of her own, Rachel said, "It's just hard to know it's over. It's over." I feel so blindsided by you." The next step in all of this is so important to me, because I care about you." "I just feel really confused and blindsided... "I just feel shook up. "I want to be with Rachel at the end of this. "I have zero doubts," he said.
Season 19 of The Bachelorette features two joint leads and as we pause midway through the finale, we're now down to the final two contestants.
The pair just missed out on Clayton Echard but were excited at the prospect of starring in a joint season after becoming close friends. That was enough for Rachel to call it a day and Aven followed Zach through the hotel lobby. Rachel has had a more difficult road to this point and was left with three candidates remaining ahead of the two-part finale: Aven Jones, Zach Shallcross and Tino Franco. Gabby, an ICU nurse from Illinois, and Rachel, a flight instructor from Florida, have had the largest group of candidates in the show’s history to choose from and have had to make dozens of eliminations to get to the final episode. The two-part finale began with four men still in the frame, but they were not divided evenly between the two girls. The ABC show returned on Tuesday 13 September for the first part of a two-episode grand finale.
