The Little Mermaid is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 26, 2023. Ariel's archive of treasures from the human world — and even some of her underwater movements — look like just like the 1989 film. Bailey's Ariel appears to have braided hair, and has iridescent scales that seem to go all the way up her chest as opposed to the animated version's clamshell swim top. Audiences at the panel were treated to the entire "Part of Your World" sequence, which featured some impressive underwater CGI and put Bailey's equally impressive singing voice on full display.

As with many of Disney’s live-action movies, there is very little that can be faulted in the rendering of the animation, whether it a deserted shipwreck, underwater sea creatures or the shimmering tail of Ariel herself.

The song itself is a song of longing, and Bailey captures that perfectly, often in an underwater performance that looks to be a duplicate of the cartoon frame for frame. The Little Mermaid is currently set to be released May 26, 2023. Her performance is stellar, emulating Ariel's desire to be a part of the people. Bailey is in a costume similar to the cartoon version of Ariel, however, instead of a purple shell bra and a green tail, hers is much more iridescent. The clip itself took three days to film and clearly includes computer graphics because Bailey is underwater. The Grammy-nominated Bailey is not only an actor but also an experienced musician.
