Realms can take you out of Dreamlight Valley and into new worlds to explore. Here's every Realm that's been announced so far.
We fully expect that to change over the next year in early access--and beyond. It's likely that these Realms will pull from many of the same (if not exactly the same) brands seen elsewhere in the game. At launch, Gameloft has announced four Realms, though the team has also suggested many more are on the way in free updates.
This is something particularly easy to forget at the beginning of your gameplay, but certain chests/dig sites/quests reward little colored sacks or recipe books ...
With the game functioning on a Stamina system that dictates the amount of actions you can perform before being unable to do anything, you'll be put at ease to know that fully refreshing that Stamina is very easy, and can be done infinitely. Whilst eating food items on the go can be a good method to keep your exploring going once you're later into the game, all you need to do early game is enter your home. Whilst you have the option to give a character any item that you have in your inventory, you'll spot that there is a small bar at the bottom of the gifting menu that displays specific items that the character would LOVE to receive. Even with the few characters you have at the very beginning of the game, ensure that you talk to everyone. At the beginning of the game, you don't have many inventory slots, or external places for storage, so it can be difficult choosing what to hold onto and what to discard. These are not automatically redeemed however, and take up a valuable slot in your Backpack, so any time you collect one, be sure to go immediately to your inventory and use it to receive the item.
Live your best farming life while you upgrade your House of Mouse.
The entire town is yours to shuffle as much as you want, and you can do it all for free at any moment. You'll see your stamina bar fill up in blue, as normal, but then a second stamina bar will fill past that in yellow, making you sort of like an overpowered boss in a more combat-heavy game, but don't worry, in Dreamlight Valley, no one is coming for your head. You'll know you've got mail when the mailbox flag is raised, so if you see it sticking up, hurry over and reveal what kind of gift or purchased item you may have received. It's important to know where your neighbors are at any time, in case you want to hang out, give them a gift, or complete a quest. It makes it so that even if two people like several of the same in-home items, they may still end up with very different styles, which is a really satisfying touch in a game like this. As the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley is much bigger than Animal Crossing, this would get tedious if not for the wishing well fast travel locations you'll unlock in each biome. So long as you use a combination of new ingredients, it's likely that you'll chance upon a new recipe to add to the game's collection of over 100 different dishes. This may seem like a throwaway item that gets in the way of nabbing the good stuff, but in actuality, you need coal to cook, so don't discard it. Use that Collection menu we mentioned to ensure whatever it is you want to build or cook is actually already available to you. The best way to make money in the early portion of the game is to sell food to Goofy at his farmer's market-like stall. On that note, be sure to check your mailbox regularly so you don't miss other items and information sometimes too. To set up cloud saves, select the option from the main menu and follow the steps that follow.

While you can use it to open doors to brand new worlds in the Dream Castle – very exciting – it’s often better used to grant you access to the areas outside of the town, which will also give you access to new characters and quests. You will get a bunch of rewards for completing these challenges, and the Dreamlight tasks in particular reward you with – you guessed it – Dreamlight, which allows you to explore further into the world, and through new doors in the Dream Castle. Make sure to open up your map whenever you open up a new area, or you need to find an NPC for a quest. Clothing is great and easy to collect, and you have the option of crafting a variety of furniture for your home, with a great deal of control on how and where you can place items. You will need a lot of money in order to upgrade the buildings in town, and selling to Goofy is the easiest way to get it all. A bit like Animal Crossing, one of the things you can do to express yourself in Disney Dreamlight Valley is customise both yourself, and your home.

These are where you find characters such as Remy and WALL-E and have the chance to invite them back to the village. Disney Dreamlight Valley forgives you for your cooking mistakes and always ensures you walk away from the stove with something useful, so there’s never any waste. Fishing is one of the best activities you can do in Dreamlight Valley. Look for the black, upright nodes around the edges of the meadow and the plaza for your best chance of finding rare gems. Eating a meal is the best way to recover your energy, but if you don’t have anything on hand or plan on saving ingredients for something else, just go home. It gives you a new place to shop, but more importantly, progressing Scrooge’s questline is necessary for unlocking house upgrades. It’s always a good idea to take a few entrees with you while you’re exploring and gathering materials. It may be tempting to do that with Goofy’s stall once it opens thanks to your initial investment – but you shouldn’t. Dreamlight Valley uses a stamina system, similar to other life sims, but it’s not quite as rigid as the likes of Stardew Valley. Occasionally, you’ll run across new items or recipes, indicated with a sparkly aura like the one you see around items in the wild. Make sure to save before putting your system in Sleep mode, as there's a high chance the software will crash when you wake it up again. It's also worth bearing in mind that the launch day update seems to have made Dreamlight Valley slightly more unstable on Switch.
Try these Disney Dreamlight Valley tips to start clearing your village, completing quests, and filling it with iconic Disney characters.
It’s no secret that Disney Dreamlight Valley takes a lot of inspiration from the Animal Crossing series, and that even extends to its real-time gameplay where your real-world time of day carries over to the world of Dreamlight Valley. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can ask any of your Disney Villagers to hang out with you. The effect of these roles also increases with each Friendship Level you gain, so the more you hang out, the better your villagers will become! For example, if you assign Moana the fishing role, she might be able to get you some extra fish anytime you catch a fish while hanging out with her. Unlocking these areas is also how you’ll get more Disney characters to settle down in your valley, so make sure you’re earning and spending as much Dreamlight as possible! To level up and get to the point where you’ve unlocked a lot of the furniture items and customization options, new villages to expand your valley, and Disney Realms to get new characters, you need to get through the basics first. When you first start out with Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll be spending a lot of time exploring and carrying out some of the core resource-gathering activities – clearing Night Thorns, foraging, gardening, mining, fishing, and digging – but these consume a lot of your Energy. The Dreamlight Duties are also great for quickly racking up Dreamlight as they award a decent amount of Dreamlight for completing relatively quick and simple tasks. Overfilling your energy bar will also give you the Well Fed bonus, giving you a slight boost to your movement speed. Use a chest or two to store things like food ingredients and crafting resources that you don’t urgently need on you all the time. This’ll allow you to follow a floating beam of light to the location you need to visit next. If you're having trouble finding objectives for your current Disney Dreamlight Valley tasks, make sure you open up the Quests menu tab, select a quest, and then make sure you choose ‘Track Quest’.
It isn't long before players encounter two of these materials. The first is Dream Shard, and the second one is Night Shard. The description of these two ...
While it isn't a recommended option, both Night Shards and Dream Shards can be sold for Star Coins. Dream Shards can also be crafted into Dreamlight, which is a currency used in a lot of Story Quest objectives and also allows players to open new areas of Dreamlight Valley once they have gotten far enough into the story. So it is recommended that players just stick to crafting either Purified Night Shards or Dreamlight. [how many Night Thorns there are](https://gamerant.com/disney-dreamlight-valley-gameplay-features-video-trailer/), the drop rate for Dream Shards is very low. Dream Shards have a chance of spawning when Disney Dreamlight Valley players clear out Night Thorns. The first is Dream Shard, and the second one is Night Shard.
As part of the With Great Power quest, you'll need to solve a bunch of riddles to unlock the Orb of Power, so here's how to do it.
To complete the With Great Power quest, you'll need to cook using those crops you just grew. To cook the Veggie Pasta, you'll also need coal, which you'll need to mine from the black rocks. For the next section, you'll need to grow some crops. The instructions say that you need to find the gems that match to unlock the path. In this guide, I'll help you find the materials you need and solve the cave riddles. As you progress through the story in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll come across a secret cave on the beach.
Gameloft's take on the slice-of-life game where you play with an entire town is sometimes dystopic.
It’s possible I’m getting Scrooge all wrong and that, with time, I come to find out he’s actually a pretty good dude underneath all the finance talk. Still, it’s hard not to balk a little at everything Scrooge wants me to do, precisely because of the type of character that he is. Why is it that he’s asking me to sell precious gemstones to Goofy’s stall, the marketplace that is typically booming with 1-dollar seedlings? I’m still fairly early on in the game, and I know all of this is supposed to be endearing if not fairly faithful to the actual character. To accomplish this, Scrooge demands that I put on A SHIRT OF HIS OWN FACE SO THAT THE OTHER VILLAGERS CAN SEE IT because remember, yes, the economy must never stop, even if 99% of my friends and family have possibly died. We’re here to rebuild and eventually, all the menacing thorns and spooky mists that are destroying everything will disappear so that we may once again worry ourselves with giving all our money to the rich.
Star Coins are the in-game currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley that you'll collect from random activities, as well as what you'll use in buying.

Many of these sell for over 600 Star Coins, so you can quickly repeat this process once the deposits respawn.
