One player, Steven Means, has done a fair job throughout the preseason, but will need to further improve to make the roster and secure regular season snaps. Surely, the Ravens don’t want Houston taking 40-plus snaps per game and would prefer to utilize him in fewer but more critical passing down situations. James has been up-and-down at left tackle, as he’s learning the position after playing on the right side for his career. But depth can be expendable, especially for a team that may not be looking to push for a playoff spot so soon after being the worst team in the league the year before. It’s a move for the future and to take some pressure off the room now. Jason Pierre-Paul remains unsigned but the Ravens have already talked to him and with the injuries they've been having, feels like he would already be on the team if they wanted him. This is the move I think the Ravens should make. Means has had a good preseason, with a sack and some pressures in the first two games, while Moon and Wiley have been quiet. Means is a roster lock at this point, along with Oweh, Houston and Hayes, but the room likely needs a fifth player. The question is can you just wait for him to be cut or do you spend a late day three draft pick to make sure you secure him? They signed veteran Trent Harris afterward, only for him to go down with an injury and go on the injured reserve list, ending his season. Preston Williams in Miami has expressed a lot of disinterest in staying with the Both have that desirable wide receiver speed that could help lessen the impact of Marquise Brown no longer being a part of the Ravens. The Ravens themselves may be looking to bolster some of their position rooms. As preseason winds down and the anticipation of the regular season continue to swell, the spotlight turns to the players.

New wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was the star Saturday night, as the Ravens extended their NFL-record preseason winning streak to 23 games.

Brown said he has been inspired by Huntley's journey to the NFL as an undrafted quarterback who has solidified his place as Lamar Jackson's backup. Welch said he has been focused on his performance while not obsessing about his chances to make the roster. However, he suffered a groin injury in the second half that "could be serious." Third-round pick Travis Jones suffered a knee injury against Arizona, which will sideline him for at least four more weeks and could open up a spot for Mack on the 53-man roster. After a foot injury suffered during training camp, Linderbaum moved without restriction, and said after the game that he will be ready to play Week 1 against the Jets. Robinson then doubled down on the double move to beat Commanders cornerback DeJuan Neal for a 52-yard catch in the third quarter.

The Breakdown: Mink's 53-Man Roster Predictions (BaltimoreRavens.com)

The Ravens have tough decisions to make at wide receiver, offensive line and more.

Tony Jefferson is one of everybody's favorites, but there are just too many safeties on this roster and too many tough decisions for him to make the original 53. The injury to Jones, which puts his Week 1 status in the air, means the Ravens get to keep an extra big defensive body on the initial 53. The Ravens have a major crunch on the offensive line, particularly at guard. Though he underwent sports hernia surgery and will miss the first chunk of the season, Kolar must be on the initial 53-man roster before being moved to injured reserve. Jackson is the engine of the offense and Huntley is one of the league's best backups. The Ravens carry an extra running back because of Dobbins' injury situation.
